Ran the communication wire for my SP-9100s the other day, but forgot to take a picture. Took a while because I am nuts about finding the best route/zip tie points. The SDHQ billet mount is super nice - really digging the card holder location!

    PXL_20221221_192327750.jpg

    PXL_20221218_193013099.jpg

I do wish the switch pros came with 7 'blank' stickers instead of only 4. Kind of annoyed spending $600 on it and then having to spend another ~$30 for the three missing stickers.

Today, I installed the stealth lightbar. Wasn't too terribly bad until the end when I realized I couldn't get the grill piece back in. I had it perfectly adjusted. I had to then loosen it all back up and pretty much hang it on the crash bar so I could get the grill piece back in. I then had to snake my arm through to do the final side screw adjustments.

    PXL_20221221_180039923.jpg

I then added some sheathing to the power cables to make it look a bit nicer. If I could go back in time, I probably wouldn't do it again to be honest...

    PXL_20221221_204512847.jpg

I did a temporary connection with some butt connectors. Once I get my power tray in, I'll redo all the wiring to make it nice. One other gripe is that I wish the 8 (well, 12 technically) power wires were about a foot or so longer. I'm probably going to need to solder on extensions to make my routing from my SDHQ mount really work, which is annoying.

(If anyone is still reading) I drove to an empty park and fired it up - really happy with the light output. May need to adjust the bar up a bit, but that's a job for another day. Also really debating adding some ditch lights now too... the build never ends :spending:

I called and asked about a longer cable but was told all I had to do was add more wire to them. I was not happy on that call but I ended up buying the new setup and it had the same “problem”.

Saves me a call & makes me feel better that I'm not just being overly nit-picky. Was worried I was just being a complainer haha. Idk why they make the trigger wires super long (the right length) and then skimp on the other wire's lengths.

My thoughts exactly. When I talked to them they told me the new RCR-Force 12 was intended and designed for racing and not for the street application. That was his exact words and he said all the installs are custom so they do one wire length. Perhaps they are moving in a new direction attracting other groups of recreation

Aint that the truth... I've done very well pacing myself since getting mine ~2 years ago. Patiently waiting for the last 7-8k miles my tires have in them before throwing on the Westcott/CB setup and getting the 295 for replacements.

I've now ventured down the light rabbit hole, and I'm trying to plan out how I want to connect and use them all. Originally I thought the switch pros would be a no brainer, but $600 is steep, just for it to be tidy. I hadn't seen that SDHQ box for the business card holder. That, plus controller, plus wiring and I'd take all the same OCD steps you did, it adds up quick. I'll be looking at a new battery and auxiliary power panel setup this next year too.

Install looks really good though! Good call on the jacketing for the wires. A lot of people don't realize how much that stuff, plus heat shrink helps. Especially keeping things orderly and quickly troubleshooting issues down the road.

Which wires/cables are you guys talking about not being long enough? I'm truly curious, as I had no issues with wire length on my install. The controller wires were more than sufficient to reach both the gear shifter/card holder area, as well as the overhead console. And everything in the engine bay seemed sufficient, including the main power wire, ground, and trigger inputs.

The controller wires were long enough but the wires in the engine bay I had troubles with on the SP9100 and was able to get another length cable (this was 2019). The latest fun was the install of the RCR-Force 12 with the same wires but this time there were the heavy gauge wires (sorry, don't have the manual in front of my phone) that were adequate length but for whatever reason all the other wires were about 2.5-3" shorter and they were just not enough. I called to see if I could get another cable and that is when I was told that they are intended for the race group folks and they are always custom installs so the wire length did not matter. Whatever... I got things to work but splicing a bunch of wires intended to form a cable just does not work. You have the splices all in the same location and it is REALLY fat or stagger them... which is fun and still ends up with the bulge.

Controller wire was fine - I had a good ~1' of leftover (which is nice since it gives me slack next time I want to remove my center console).

The power wires are what are about ~1' too short for my liking. It's probably partially on my end, since the SDHQ mount I used places the power module right behind the driver's side headlight/in front of the battery. I will then need to route around the battery to get to the fuse box where my tray will eventually be. The trigger wires I found to be the perfect length, and may remove ~6" from them when I solder them onto the tap-a-fuses.

Overall, it's a small gripe, but it's much easier to be given too much wire (and cut it back) than to be given too little and have to solder on (plus I lose the pretty rainbow colored wires :().

Yeah that lasted like two weeks!

On a trip back from Kentucky, a rig in front of me slung something from it's rear tire (couldn't tell what, going 80 MPH on I-75 and I-40 through the mountains, fun drive but you gotta be focused, for those curves will sneak up on ya real quick!!), cracked my grille...

Ordered a new one from Sparks. Waiting on the white vinyl overlays for the TOYOTA letters from tvdvinyl. While prepping the new grille (epoxying collision radar, affixing front camera, trimming top mounting points), figured I'd add clearance lights since I now have fat ass flares. Found these on Amazon, not bad for $13 and they're smoked lenses. I went the zip tie route because you really have to get up close to notice them. They fit nicely into the grille slots (had to trim the center LED housing just a tad because the grille slots aren't actually the same length). Again, for only $13 (seen kits for over $100), I'm happy with 'em, and I have two spares.
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q2WK1RN?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Also, I really liked my color matched Super White 040 handles from Sparks, but I just felt like there was too much white in the middle of the truck (like I thought there was too much white on the hood so I added the vinyl), so to break it up a little, I replaced them with black handles, and sold the white ones to a forum member.

I'm not even going to bother saying I've done modding for a while...see how it turned out last time?

Is that color & finish on your rims stock/OEM? Or did you get a gloss finish put on them? Looks great.

Looks like the trail edition wheels which come glossy from factory. Notice the grille surround is color matched but it has the limited insert, that's a clear give away for the trail edition, Unless you have someone like me who swapped the chrome surround from my limited and replaced it with a colored matched surround, and swapped my limited insert.
