Got my rear cat skid designed and built today. I made bolt brackets that sit on top of the crossmember so you don't need a wrench on top in a hard to reach spot. I did the same with the front skid as well. I'm happy with the way everything came out.

It is for adding additional power connections for accessories. It gives a cleaner look and eliminates the rats nest look of having multiple wires coming off of the battery terminal.

Turns out I can set this platform on top of the rear seat and sleep on it (or so it seems). I turned it 180° so the legs are in the seat and then propped some stuff up on the other side to level it out. Backseat is 5’ wide and I’m 6’ tall and can still very comfortably lay back there. Going to test it camping this weekend.

I'm 5'9" and sleeping on a rear bench in my DC a few nights in a row. It is not very comfortable, but 2-3 nights is ok. Was thinking about building a platform, something you've pictured. Thanks for confirming that might work!

There's also a bed in trunk, but creeping out of the bed at night for beer by-product disposal is absolute nightmare, especially in winter =)

It wouldn’t be difficult at all to make a platform like mine but dedicated to sleeping! I have like $80 and a couple of hours into this one.

I thought about sleeping in the bed of the truck for more room but I have a tonneau so it would be like a coffin.

Mine is ok. The only real problem is access to the bed and lifting the gate.

If I add an ammo can wood stove burning pellets for half a night or so, I may change my opinion.

UCA I plan on keeping it stock. I am just at 3" lift. Less maintenance and less foreseen noises or rattles etc. OE last longer and quality is good enough

Did an oil change on it. Only 5600 miles, but the last one was in February.
