Check the build link in my signature.
I have been thinking of pulling my “scoop” off and putting one of those on instead. Much more functional and looks like it would cover the holes that would be left behind

Weekend before last, but bailed out my buddy after his Jeep's alternator took out the battery. Tundra hauled like a champ. And no, he was pretty upset, so I didn't make any heep jokes

    PXL_20221021_151212324.jpg

Then last weekend hauled a cubic yard of dirt to fill in a hole in my crawlspace. I broke it up into two half cubic yards because I was worried about going over my load rating, but if I did it again I'd probably just do the whole cubic yard in one trip.

I haven’t decided. Think I am going to try it like this first. I only added the bed rug for traveling and to keep suitcases, etc from getting scuffed from bed liner.

Funny after installing, I thought I should have went with version like you have. :notsure:

Got my grill surround painted and ranch hand bumper installed.

    Grill surround

Wanted to paint the surround before installing the bumper, not sure if I can even get the grill out after the bumper is on. Normally I would primer/sand/paint/clearcoat but I had a can of "hammer white" rustoleum paint+primer lying around from another project. Judging by the top of the can, it was very close to the color of my paint so I decided to throw it on.

I used a blowtorch to heat and delaminate the chrome that was on the plastic, then slowly peeled it away. Sanded the surround down a bit afterwards to remove some of the bubbling that occured due to the blowtorch.

My surround had two big cracks in it. I bought some JB weld "plastic weld" to seal the cracks. I thought it would be kind of sandable like normal JB weld is...turns out is not. It globbed on there and left a big splotch. I would have been better off using superglue or something. Oh well, worth a try.

Surround looks nice from 5 feet. Not great up close. I am not bothered. It's way better than chrome and its mostly covered by the bumper anyway.

    Delaminating was messy.

Not my finest work by a long shot but it will be covered by the bumper so its alright.

    Ranch Hand Bumper

I also installed the ranch hand bumper. I love how it looks, especially with the 17 inch icon wheels and BFG tires.

I used to have a bullnose ranch hand and I wasn't nearly as happy with how that one looked.

    20221030_141816.jpg 20221030_141836.jpg

The bumper weighs in at about 200lbs. The ride isn't horrible, but it does lower my front about an inch. I will probably have to do something to fix that at some point. Probably heavier springs. Any suggestions?

Also, sorry for spamming with pictures. I'm done now :)

Replaced my tie rod ends. My local Toyota dealership wanted to charge me $800 to do it. Got these one off Amazon and they have a grease fitting too. Took less than an hour to do both.

What characteristics was your truck displaying that you required new tie rod ends on a 2016?

Snagged a used pelican storm case. This will hold extra tools, bottle jack and fluids for the multi day runs.

The only one that I could get to work is this one. Just download and install the two programs from the very first post. I couldn't get any more recent versions to work.
