Yeah Casey, I did not have any for quite a while and starting to here the noise the one day. I don’t think it’s anything else. It don’t bother me as of now so I can wait till I get it in for its next oil change.

It doesn't look like you used the new hardware at the plate joint. How did you tighten the 2 carriage bolts?

I was able to get the passenger side plate joint carriage bolt from the passenger side in front of the crossmember with a ratcheting wrench and the driver side one I had to remove the front section of the engine skid plate and reach back from the front to get access to it with a ratcheting wrench also. It wasn’t that much more work and I’m glad I have the carriage bolts there instead of the hex bolts with the retro fit bracket and speed clips. Both of the plate joint bolts are easily accessible to tighten once the front section of the engine skid plate is removed. I didn’t think of that until I realized that was my only option to gain access to the driver side plate joint bolt. I did have to remove the oil filter access plate to get the middle front skid plate bolt, you can get to the other two from the side

Took it to the dealership to get a 4 wheel alignment. Quoted $199. Told them I need new tie rod ends too as the boots were compromised. They couldn't even do the alignment. They came back with a quote with the grand total of over $1000. $157 for EACH tie rod end and $762 for labor (including the alignment.

I just ordered a pair of tie rod end on Amazon for $58.

you might be disappointed with those. I’ve had to replace a set of non-OEM tie rod ends after 2 months. Pretty hit or miss with the “other” options.

    DCH Toyota in Torrance.

I'm gonna do the tie rod end myself then get it aligned. It's not like the truck is pulling to one side, it's just that there's some noticeable positive camber.

Alignment done, picking up tomorrow morning. Looks like I gotta do the front fender liner mod and a CMC since the tech said it rubs at tight turns. Not sure how bad the rubbing is as the tech wasn’t overly descriptive

You should call the toy shop in cypress. They specialize in toyotas and lexus. Idk if the also do alignments there but they can do the tie rods for way cheaper tha. The dealer

If you haven't already, or don't already know - if you want to keep your fender plastic intact, you can shim out the front bumper with these:
Coachbuilder Front Bumper Shim Kit Tundra 2007-2021 ( Including TRD Pr – Shop Coachbuilder (shop-coachbuilder.myshopify.com)
I have them, and they'd allow the bumper to accommodate a little larger tire and/or wider offset than my 285/60/20's on +50 offset wheels.

Also; that truck is smokin hot.

Yeah I already have them installed, also removed the mud flaps. I think just need to remove the bolts, push the fender liner forward and drill new holes. Hopefully I can have the caster adjusted to give some more clearance on the rear cab mount

Minor rub on the body mount and the front fender liner. The liner I can do the cut and drill new holes and that should take care of that. Cab mount will need to be chopped for proper clearance

Get more caster out of your alignment. I have the same 17x8.5 with 0 offset on 35x12.5s and don’t rub the body mount.
