Can you see inside that thing? What are the chances I could drill a hole in it to install a camera where that red circle is? Is there enough room?

When I get home from work Ill snap a pic of the inside and send it to you. They put antenna mount on top in the center so I'm guessing there should be enough room. But ill def check for you.

Ya. I got it as well. Pisses me off as I just washed the truck! Left some on the Rav4 couple years ago and it pitted the paint.

at least a little ash is all you have to deal with, rather than just being one of those unfortunate people whose house is nothing but a pile of ash.

Now a member of RAS club. Was set to haul two 2x12 U-Haul loads 300 miles and wanted to get the RAS springs 61CF9593-7EB6-427A-A80D-8E8EEA62E538.jpg installed before the two trips. Really like them. Rear end feels planted. Tongue weight was probably 400+ pounds, and not much squat at all. I had adjusted them to the 25% increase over stock, not the 40%.

Sharp looking truck - what lift are you running? Didn't think you needed one to run that size tire, but the set up looks great.

Thanks! It is the Eibach Pro Truck 2.0 setup, the threaded, adjustable on the truck ones, not the ones with clip settings like 5100s. I have it set at 2 inches lift in front and then run RAS in the rear which gives an inch lift. Tires are 275/70-18s (33.4 tall) and you are correct, that size fits stock trucks and I ran that size before the suspension changes.

I installed my Amp bed step yesterday.
I got it for Xmas, but Toyota had my truck from November to July.

Having my casual OCD issues, my first thought would be to use the bumper part that came with the step.
But being I've taken all that off before, I can't remember why, I decided to do the "cut the existing bracket" method.

OEM bed step install without changing out the bracket | Toyota Tundra Forum (tundras.com)

I laid out and made a pattern of what the Amp bracket looked like.
Compared that to the existing one so I knew what to cut.
I first tried my jigsaw, epic fail, and then the Sawzall.
Dulled the sharp cut edges with my Dremel and painted the cut.
It saved A LOT of time not taking the rear bumper apart.

I would have liked the step to be more even/level with the angle of the bumper, but oh well..
It certainly does make getting in and out of the bed easier, especially with bone-on-bone knees.

Quick questions to all the knowledgeable Tundra Gods:

I have a front and rear dash cam that I am about to put in but I am not sure how to get the wire from the front cam to the rear cam. What ideas do you guys suggest so I can get this done soon.

    FYI I have a 2021 SR5 crew cab.

    TIA

There are youtube videos that show this. You essentially just tuck the wires up into the headliner along either the driver or passenger side and work your way from the front to the back.

@NAIVIAN It does not interfere with them. There is plenty of room. That is how mine is routed.

    As @Tundra234 stated;
There is plenty of room around those airbags to tuck a wire or 5.
I had to run a Bluetooth mic for my Kenwood HU and antenna wires for my alarm/remote start.

Pinch weld mod complete. Cut, tacked a few of the sheets back together, sealed up with some black caulk. Once this dries I'll spray the cut and my horribly rusty BMC with some rust reformer then put two coats of some rubber undercoating on the pinch weld. Bolt the fender back up and heat gun the liner flat. May still get a light tap of the tire on the liner but I don't want to cut it up.

Edit: rust reformed and rubber coated.

  to @james@tech12volts did something yesterday I should have done 4 years ago when I purchased my truck.20221019_172957.jpg
Jl audio group buy. I contacted Mr Taylor and explained I was looking to upgrade my stereo and was wondering what was included in some of the group buys. I explained that the only social media I use is this forum. In an extremely short amount of time he emailed me a list of the different group buys. I placed my order, and then ended up with a work problem that happened to be scheduled on the same date as when the shipment was to arrive. I reached out to Mr Taylor to inquire about expedited shipping he replied quickly and with all the different options and related cost. I received everything on the 18th and discovered today that the sub knob was missing. I sent him a email which he responded to in under an hour. Then I received a email from the shipping company that I had a package coming next day air, followed by Mr Taylor's email that he left work to get it shipped out right away. Sorry this being so long but excellent customer service is hard to find. Oh and as far as the system sounds, we'll even with the stock HU it is amazing. The carpet color is off but I picked the wrong color when I ordered.
