I really need to get anything but the stockers on my 2016. I’d be better off holding a flashlight out the window haha.

Got a little sub to put under my seat in my DC. Waiting on a breakout dongle from ********* to steal an audio source. Going to swipe power from the inside console cig lighter. Don't currently feel like long wire runs and hole drilling for now. It's not going to be super HiFi, but nothing will match the world I used to work in so I don't bother.

I understand that is not a super high power amp in that thing, but do you know how thin the wires running to the lighter are? Again, I don't know, but would imagine you need to run a bigger power wire.

Installed the Hot Tails (Option A) from @memario1214

All I can say is Wow! What a difference. This is how it should have came from Toyota. I love the amber turn signal now and how much brighter the brake lights are.

I chuckled after I installed it because of how geeked out out I was just looking at the lights.

The install took maybe 20 mins tops for both taillights. Very easy and self explanatory. The harnesses were super high quality and fit like a glove.

Thanks for making a better and safer mousetrap!

Same. I’m trying to decide between diode dynamics ss3 and Baja designs squadron sports. Both in amber lenses.

    It’s on post #76013

I don’t want to post the link twice.

There are some details that are not in line with the sellers description. That description applies for Tacoma, not tundra.

Since the tundra did not have parking light activated window illumination switches.

Sellers states lights turn on when parking lights activated but not applicable to tundra. That worked for Tacoma’s. Power for lights works just like the cartihome switches and gets power from the window motor power. Meaning driver side is always on and all other three are controlled by window lock. Driver has constant power.

available in three colors (white, blue, red) for tundra where Tacoma gets 4 options (added ice blue) to match closest to OEM colors. Not available for tundra as of now. 4Runner gets its own RGB switchable selector.

 both imported and assembled in America, both ok warranty service, Amazon warehouse price did it for me. BD w/mount kit and the lens I wanted for 230 used with the BD warranty, I’m all about it!

Replaced the gas cap. Old one stopped giving me the click.
Removed it and gave it a shake (broken plastic rattling sounds)

Preemptive move against an annoying check engine light.

Doesn't say if they are for crew cabs or double cabs. Not sure if they are different.

They are nice for sure. I just converted my cargo lights to 3rd brake lights and I used Vleds high powered bulbs....plenty of red shining back there :D.

Oh man, I want that wheel so bad. How hard was it to do? I log 30-40K miles/year. I would kill for that wheel.

It's one of the easiest things you can do. Took like 20 minutes from the time I disconnected the battery to reconnecting it after I was done. There's plenty of tutorials on youtube on removing the steering wheel.

:rofl:for sure, the set of stock headlights worked fine for what they are, however we just moved to an area with a long stretch of unlit state highway so the lighting upgrade is a big deal for us. Diggin' the morimoto set, but these were a little better on the wallet.

Took one of those there "Mental Health Days", unofficially. We used to call it something else.
Ran down to the beach for a few hours with God, sun, surf, a ham sandwich, and the truck. 20220914_112041.jpg 20220914_111837.jpg 20220914_130121.jpg

I am really battling the urge to upgrade lights across the front. Ye Olde SR halogen bulbs are far from ideal but I don't want to throw all the money of replacing the housings...or the 6 options I've picked out of additional offroad and aux lights for that matter.
My deal with myself when grabbing a 3 year old SR was keeping things simple and basic. The struggle since then is real!

I have a 2016 SR and the only things I wish it had from other trucks are the larger gas tank and lights that work ha.

Everything else is cherry. Love the bench seat, column shift, long bed, etc.

Then it must be time to treat yourself right? You've waited to upgrade anything :) Plus the safety portion of the upgraded lights is well worth it.
