What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I normally fill up with 50 to E and its about 30ish. I once wasn't paying attention and parked at work with 4 to go. Based on distance traveled, I knew I had 5+ gallons in the tank. Figured I'd chance it and drive the 12 miles home and hit the gas station by my house. I drove that 12 miles with windows down listening to the truck and could have stopped at a number of other refuel points but I was determined (or stupid) to fill up by my house

 

Mine rarely says 300, usually 290 (26 gallon tank), don’t be sad haha

I really need to upgrade to a larger tank

Mine never takes over 29 gallons assuming I stop shortly after the light. I’ve gone 50 or so miles past and put in 32 gallons.

Took the pups up the mountains real quick and ate some lunch. It was about 68F up there, which was perfect.

 

Sadly no I don’t. Too dark now but I just used U-Bolts on to my Yakima racks. I also inserted wood dowels so the U-Bolts wouldn’t crush the pipe style racks. But upon inspection after reefing them down with my small 12v impact; I think that was unnecessary.

 

Continued my thermal wrapping to keep iat and blower coolant temps down.

 

Mine usually says 416 and average fill up is 29-30 gallons. Lead foot but never seen it register more then 420

at fillup, mine always says just north 700 miles to empty

the 650cc injectors + tune blew the dash meter up.


I still get ~17mpg...400 some odd miles before each fillup. usually 3/4 tank. or whatever our tank is.

Not exactly news worthy mods., but I finally got wheel and spare tire locks installed. Desert Does it seat jackers are next!
