Installed/swapped a 2016 non JBL factory navigation head unit into my 2019 (non JBL, non nav). Didn’t take any pictures because well from the outside, nothing really changed. OEM/Factory to OEM/Factory. everything was plug n play. I followed the steps in the video below (how to remove the OEM head unit) and then just reversed it. It took all of maybe 20-30 minutes to do. Which for me is great. I was expecting twice that. I’m not 100% certain of this but I’m pretty sure any year HU and truck is interchangeable between 2014-2019. Again I just like having the nav screen up for upcoming bends in the road, or upcoming streets in the city. Any kind of turn by turn NAV I use Apple Maps or Waze via Bluetooth. My phone is attached via a MagSafe charger up next to the HU and AC vent so it’s close enough to see if I need it, but the voice directions are efficient enough where I don’t need to take my eyes off the road that often.

The OEM HU sound is suitable for the music I listen to. Don’t need 100 Subs and 120dB of “I hate my dad” music so this was the best option for me.

So you just sprayed a matte gloss over the scratched up shiny plastic to get these results? That looks good man! Way better than before. You just barely wipe that area and it’s scratched!

    Thanks!

I'm trying to get used to them. I see several black versions of the TSS offroad wheels for sell and I'm temped. But trying to keep it a bit different. I'll stick with them for a while

    Ultimate stock mirror upgrade complete

Front and rear facing turn signals with puddles and spotter mirror

edit: maybe ultimate. Still might add some DRL’s and maybe with a switchback feature. I’ll sit with what I have for now. Also research if I can make it work and if it’s worth it. I already have the parts and switchback modules…. Saved for another day though

Spent some time under the truck today. Bilstein 5100s front and rear, with the fronts set at the top notch. These only have three notches, not four, for some reason, but I verified they are the correct part number for my truck. Since there are only three, I went with the top notch and I’m happy with the look. It picked the front end up just a smidge over 2 inches. It was actually 1/4” higher than the rear, which I anticipated, so I also installed Coachbuilder shackles in the rear, which lifted the rear 1.25 inches. Now the front is 39.5” from fender to ground, and the rear is 41” from fender to ground. It’s a nice inch and a half rake that I am very comfortable with, and I like the look.

The BFGs I have, which are OE size, are only a year old, so I’d hate to waste a good set of tires (and money). I’m going to ride on them for awhile and see how long I can stand it. From some angles they look puny and small, and from other angles they look fine. We’ll see how long I can make it before they bother me enough to go up a size or two.

I would flip the bolts on the shackles the other way. If you plan to run bigger tires in the future and stuff another underneath as a spare you'll need that extra room.

Thought about that as I was putting the spare back underneath. I was too tired to mess with it after all that lol. I’ll be switching them up if I end up doing that.

installed my go rhino cargo rack and kb voodoo cross bars. I'm looking for the perfect beach travel setup without a cap. I have the retrax one tonneau and if it doesn't leak too much I will be set. the top rqck will hold beach chairs umbrellas a gas grill and some other stuff that can get wet. truck bed is for a smoker, charcoal grill and the duffel bags

Without. My only half second regret was the TRD Offroad decal, but that vanished as soon as I polished it. The only "decals" I'm keeping are the door pillars.
