They are nice. You will enjoy them.
I have them as well and run the red's up front and the white in the back. I found the whites up front are a bit too bright but with the whites in the back it gives me enough light to do what I want and if I need more light for something I just switch to white.

I like the white personally, but my wife thinks it's too bright so I run the red for her. I like the red too but if I'm by myself i'd run white more often.

For years in my Tacoma before there was a dual color option I would change out the white and red maps and dome for her, camping or vacation trip needs. Not having to do that is so much better, but I became a pro at it in my Tacoma doing it a few dozen times and could probably get in done in a minute or so.

I've had a couple of mods sitting around since the spring so in the past week I have made the time to add the under seat storage and the bed step. Both mods were quick thanks to videos I have watched through links from the forum and YouTube searches. I am really slow installing, just trying to be sure I follow steps correctly. Since there are already many pics of these two mods I'm not posting any unless someone has a question.

The under seat storage is simply about taking your time with cutting the template and the floor carpet. Painters tape held the template in place well and a silver sharpie worked perfect to mark the cut lines. The cut foam is a mess but an easy clean up. Start to finish was maybe 40 minutes and that includes cutting the cardboard template and vacuuming up foam afterwards.

The bed step I purchased is the OEM model (with no directions included) however I believe it is the same as the AMP Research step. Seems to be a well made quality item. After watching several videos I chose not to disassemble the bumper to install the new bumper bracket included with the step. Instead I used the well advertised Tundras.com shortcut of simply cutting the "triangle section" out of the existing bracket. Cutting sanding and treating the bracket took just a few minutes and the actual install took only a few minutes more. The longest part of this mod was finding one of the screws for anchoring the actual step to the arm, I had dropped it in the grass next to the driveway! Maybe 30 minutes total to complete this mod, not including the yard search! I did back the truck onto my Rhino Ramps so it was much easier to actually sit up under the truck the hold the step while putting the bolts in.

Next I want to swap out all cabin lights as well as the reverse and bumper lights for LED bulbs. I have a Sport model so the headlights and fog lights are good. Any suggestions on a kit, or brand of lights that are good quality / reasonable cost? I will search this but just thought I would ask while posting.

I have a set of Vleds high power reverse lights that are about 5 months old that I'll sell. I have the Hottails setup now so no need for them.

Replaced oil in Sequoia, at 3000 miles (bought it "new" with 2700 miles). Oil filter cap drained with quite a bit of water suspension. That reminds the oil has to be changed 2-3 times a year, even if miles are low, because of water condensation.

Drained transmission in Tundra, 4 quarts came out. Found out the full Toyota ATF box laying in garage in far corner was T-IV, not WS. Got WS 2 days later, drained 2 qts more before replacing the fluid. The old fluid had some soot-like particles from burnt clutches, means I need a winch for snow recovery :) Added some Lubegard Red, too.

Keep an eye on them. Ill guess that one will eventually need to be remounted in another position and hopefully balance with less weight. Or, it could stay balanced and fine until its time to rebalance and rotate. Stacking weights can also make them easier to pop off, but you will know quickly if you lose any. Hope the coopers work out for you, many love them. I ended up returning them, got a bad batch for sure. Two had weights like that, another got a sidewall crack at about 5k miles.

The vinyl cover doesn’t need to be anywhere near perfect.

Just take that shifter area apart, lay vinyl overtop of the glossy part & put it back together. Look back at what I did to mine about a year ago. The only difference will be how the Meso shift gate trim is attached, I think it’s a little more involved than AJT. With the AJT it snaps overtop & helps hold down the vinyl.

Then you can just cut new lettering & stick it ontop of the matte black vinyl you put overtop already.

I was trying to create a cut file for those that wanted to choose on overlay versus a spray. I did the matte clear on mine.

Seriously? I pretty much only use the red. Only time I’ve used the white was trying to find something I dropped under the seat.
Either way, they were a great addition for me.

Tundra's led headlights are tough on eyes at night. I was thinking about what to do with them, but then I wrapped the headlights with Lamin-X polyurethane film purely for protection on trails, and the disturbing blue hue is gone.

yep, purchased used, original purchaser clearly hit a curb just right. No issue with it, is true, balances fine, no leak.

I get what you’re trying to do. I’m saying you don’t need to spray anything or have a perfect outlined cut. You cover up the edges with the other parts of the shifter area. Here’s mine that’s held up awesome for over a year. You can see all I did was lay it down, fold over the edges (not anywhere near perfect) & cut out an area for the shifter. Once you make that 1 cut you just fold it out of the way & click the AJT trim right over top. You don’t see any imperfections.

Like I said, doing it this way you lose access to the stock lettering but I just made my own after the fact & stuck them back ontop of my vinyl.

So, if you’re trying to sell this with your other things you’re making, all you need to sell is a big enough square of vinyl (color of their choice) & the letters to stick back overtop (font & color of their choice).
