    Lol
Technically, that would be a female and she would just be one of thousands of sisters. Momma doesn’t leave the hive, and Dad would just be some drone sperm donor.

Yeah… every time I look close I find something new/else. Just let them pull it apart and do what they do. I’m confident in their ability to make it right - my wife’s 2017 Forester had $18k worth of damage done to the front end in spring 2018, and when we got it back you couldn’t tell it wasn’t a brand new car. All factory parts, paint match and blending was perfect, body lines and edges were all perfect.

My wife's Pilot was done the same way. Insurance company pushed for a video estimate since the body shop was going to be a while to even look at; they came back w/ $1900ish and direct deposited to our acct... 6 weeks later body shop had it at almost $6k total. We had the Forester on order, it showed up earlier (before the body shop finished w/her Honda), so we went and grabbed it. A few weeks later Honda was done and insurance paid the balance to body shop... everything came out really good; I think most of her cost came from an airbag wiring harness that was tore out when the bumper came off (apparently almost a full day labor at Honda)! Anyhow, since she already had the Subi, we drove the Honda from body shop to Carmax; their offer was good, so we left it w/them and never even took the Honda home after repair...

I'd do the same thing you're doing right now and let everything get worked out to OE specs then MOD after you have it back.

I'm forever swapping my first aid / trauma kit back and forth between my two trucks (depending on which one I'm using), so I decided to order one from My Medic to stay FT in the new PRO. I ordered it in TRD red to match the PRO accents (just kidding it's simply normal red) and the kit arrived today...

    upload_2022-7-13_22-11-50.jpg

Tore it open after dinner tonight, and it has good quality gear; but I just don't care for the tourniquet. Nothing wrong w/it, I'm just used to deploying the North American Rescue Cat Tourniquets. So re-training w/a totally different style, etc. doesn't make sense...
...but I've already got several CATs that are already positioned in the vehicles, garage, house, etc. so that's covered anyways. The My Medic kit will cover most of my other potential needs including dog bites and other "normal" incidents. The only time I'll need to shuffle is on a range day, as I have a kit specific to that task!

Why do you have so many tourniquets? Do you juggle chainsaws?

No, but I have been known to juggle a Malinois or two!

All jokes aside, if your question has a layer of seriousness to it, my answer would be that it is really not THAT many... Each vehicle has one (3 total); garage has one; upstairs has one; downstairs has one; each med kit has one (4 total)... Basically I purchased a "pack" of them w/HSA funds prior to retirement a couple of years ago. So, yeah I probably have more than I need, but instead of shuffling one or two around depending on the activity, they are always staged in the same location(s) for easy access and everyone knows where they are (kinda like fire extinguishers)!

Yes, it's a rare event to use one, but in spite of that, I've found myself deploying one on 2 separate occasions within the last 10 years in a civilian capacity. So, in my personal experience, deploying a fire extinguisher would be more rare than a tourniquet.

I had BP-51s on my Tacoma with ICON delta joint UCA's and loved them. Not sure which direction I'm going with the Tundra. The Tacoma was pretty well built for heavier off road use. The Tundra just may be too large for Colorado trails, at least the less traveled ones

Yes, there actually was some seriousness to my question. Those were very valid answers and totally make sense. I was just curious.

How much did those set you back? I'm assuming no less than $350 each. Pretty steep investment in this economy.

I'd just pull the tourni out of that kit and use the space for something else. I keep meaning to buy one of those kits.

I've been (rather slowly) pricing out the products they include in the iFAK and Red Cross kits, to see if I can't cobble together a kit at a better price. I'm coming to the conclusion that if I needed more than 4 or 5 kits, I could. I definitely need to have one in the truck, though. And a fire extinguisher. And front, back, and interior dash cams. A new head unit. Hidden winch. BAM 10".

My truck was rear ended in April. The online picture estimate deal came up with $2775 in damage. When I finally got it to the body shop, the real estimate went up to $20,700. They are a joke and plan on people just taking the initial estimate and being happy.

I’m supposedly picking up the fixed truck tomorrow!

I hope you don’t have to deal with the never ending battle of sourcing body parts.
