I did not know this. This is good to know now though. I am assuming because they are forged?

I wished I could have but the baking process during powder coating can weaken the forged aluminum a second time. If I can find the article I will post it.

Honestly, It's nothing special in terms of quality(i.e. its the same as the maxitrac, arb, etc.), but has held up for three years. If you have the opportunity to get one for cheap, go for it! I actually got it for <$100 at one of their call-in sales, so it's well worth that price!

Factory finish was faded to grey. Drivers step paint funish was flaking off too. Now they match my Diamondback bed cover.

Here she is! Wheels are Method MR305 NV 18x9 25mm offset. Tires are 275/70/r18 E1's
Thanks to all of the other forum posts on wheels and offset I was able to decide on tires and wheels. No rub at all.

Next on the list is color match TRD sport grill and bumper covers.

Nice! What made you go with the +25 offset instead of the +0 ?

Do you think had you gone +0 with those tires, you'd have rubbing?
Did you do any plastic trimming or removal of the front mudguards?

Well the stock TRD wheels are a positive 60 offset which is almost all in line with the hub. positive 25 offset only moves the wheel out just about an inch. If i were to have 0 mm offset it would have moved the wheel almost two inches wider than stock offset. That would have been way too much fender poke for me. And no plastic trimming.

I love it. CarPlay is CarPlay so some of the experience will be identical to what you have now. My wife has a 4500 NEX in her 4Runner. It’s amazing what a difference the larger size screen makes, especially for navigation. Also the 7600 is a 9 inch screen so I think it fits in a little better than the 8600. I don’t know the right term, but it supports dynamic screen size. It’s like changing the resolution on your laptop - higher resolution let’s you fit more on the screen. Finally the NEX home screen is pretty good too. I’ve got my camera view on the home screen and I can easily swap to my other camera. You can customize this to show gauges via maestro etc. No regrets here…. I was coming from Entune though so it was a bigger change.

Thanks for posting! Wheels look awesome, but tire size helps me out...stock wheels, but going to Nokian Outpost 275/70/r18 in a couple weeks...chonkier than OE Michelins, and look like a really good fit for the wheel wells!

Seen a you-tube video where a guy used scrubbing bubbles to clean his engine bay. I went to the car wash. I used the whole can. And just rinsed it off. No added pressure. It worked pretty good. A lot better than what it was. So, I also rinsed the dust off the truck and got gas for the camping trip this weekend. Leaving tomorrow for Gettysburg PA. 557631EE-192B-475A-A1B8-0AD00D1BE9C3.jpg90648DF9-D2F3-4B26-A844-3D0AB42F5312.jpg3E2A12EE-22ED-48EE-AFA4-E76F33C741D8.jpg
