For now just a piece of 3M high strength double sided tape. It would be cool if someone designed a 3d printed panel that would fit there. It would be a good spot for the pedal commander as well.

My SR5 DRL's are on as soon as i start the truck. Ill wire differently then Boost suggests and run them on the DRL instead of the taillight. I will tap into the cargo on switch for the bright reverse lights, that way i can switch the cargo and those lights on manually if i need them. There is a great video on the installation explaining possible different wirings.

Put on the rear sway bar I ordered 2 months ago and got yesterday. Makes a big difference cornering. Surprised how noticeable.

Got my tailgate lock kit installed today, the OEM style one its 100% plug and play, and came with instructions and plenty of zip ties. Next on deck to order is a bakflip mx4.

I wired my boost mirror lights (low power flood) to the cargo light wire. I use these lights as approach/puddle lights so having them come on when I unlock is perfect. I can also manually turn them on with the cargo light switch if needed.

I decided against the cargo lights as those serve 2 different functions for me. I see the mirrors as a reverse light, and the cargo lights as more of an accessory light. The DRL wire was part of the Boost Auto wiring plug, the only wire I had to splice was the reverse lights. When my DRL headlights are on as soon as I start the truck, but the mirror DRLs don't turn on until my actual headlights turn on. I wish the mirror DRL's were always on.

I see your from Oshawa. I'm originally from Ajax, and my girlfriend is from Oshawa. Our families still live there so I drive through there every so often. If you see a white tundra with a softopper it's likely me!

yes, the white wire they recommend to tap into the blue taillight wire on passenger side panel but I tap it into the DLR fuse, the lowest right fuse on driver side fuse panel. That way they run as soon as you turn truck on.
I use the back flood lights when I need light loading tools when it gets dark. Long days in construction. My truck is not to miss due to the unique lettering. Honk if you see the big heart with the maple leaf.

Check the build link in my signature.
I ran mine to a dedicated switch.
I have my headlights on auto and the DRLs on my mirrors come on as soon as I start the truck.

Not so much what did I do to it, but what I'm preparing to do. Just ordered 5.29s and a Grip Pro.

For anyone shopping, Nitro direct had best pricing on gears and install kits with free shipping, and ECGS had the best price on the Powertrax, also with free shipping.

The fob range is really irritating. I'm thinking it has less and less to do with leds. VLeds as well as others have had some interference affecting the fob range. I took my Vleds out and replaced them with the non-rf redesign that they came out with and still have issues, even with the switch off. I can be within a few feet of the truck and have a hard time unlocking to the second beep, but I can be clear across the parking lot and it will work. It would be nice if there was a way to relocate that receiver away from the shark fin.

Seems to be a Toyota issue. I got problems on both my Yaris and my moms Corolla. I got new fobs for the Tundra as I added remote start and use only the remote start fob with no issues, so might be the fob itself not the receiver.

The newer Toyotas have the receiver in the shark fin now so it's too close to the cab lights.

Mesos went from mailbox to install. These are such a great buy, initially. So long as they last a good long time, I’d consider them a must for gadget and light obsessed people. OEM+ quality for sure.

It’s been a little bit but here are some updates for the my Tundra. First off, I officially named it Gandalf and one addition I want to put on that I haven’t yet is a “You shall not pass!!!” Quote on the back hehehe. But here are the quick adds.

    1: Softopper, I LOVE IT!!!!
    2: Blackout emblems
3: 20” fuel wheels and Cooper AT tires
4: Blackout covers for front bumper (nice and cheap upgrade
5: Barricade HD2 rear bumper with cube LED’s
6: American flags Tundra inlays. Awesome quality but expensive

Love how this truck is getting together. Unfortunately bought some Clazzio seat covers that didn’t match like I hoped they would so if anyone is interested PM me.
