Decided to break out the T-20 and finish the job. Damn, those Toyo retaining clips are sturdy.

Piece of cake lol. A true maintainer isn't affected by the weather lol. I spent my first 4 years of active duty on the flightline when I was stationed in Montana.

Not to derail the thread, but I visited a ND launch facility and silos in the dead of winter. We were all bundled up but the SSgt who met us at the plug was in his t-shirt. It was 2 degrees and he told us it was a warm day. :eek2:

Yes its different once you are climatized. My first spring in Montana when I got there I thought 30 degrees was cold. I learned real quick once winter came around. I loved it after that.

Not with the parking brake wire soldered to ground. The Firestick is giving me fits though and wanting to reboot constantly, so I think I’m gonna order the MMB instead. It’s much more $ but works with touchscreen. The remote can be annoying, especially when it’s under your seat.

Highly likely a power related issue. I just have it running via USB through the 12v cig lighter port.

i installed one of these a few weeks ago. The 7600. There are several videos online that show how to bypass it. Super easy. Takes 20 seconds.

Flushed out the power steering fluid with fresh - it lightened up the steering a bit. Brake fluid and T-case are the last factory fills left… Those are on the list.

Well, still not sure what to think about the howling sound but it's gone. Toyota did the oil change and tire rotation before passing it off to another tech to diagnose the problem. That tech completed a test drive and didn't hear anything aside from the tires. He did check the wheel bearings and suspension components and found nothing. I was skeptical because I could clearly hear it. I left the dealership and the noise was in fact gone. I wonder if it was one of the front tires that has been rotated to the back and now I'm not hearing it?...I was sure it wasn't coming from the tires, but who knows.

My 18 SR5 only has one as well. Turns both sides on/off, but color is still individually controlled by side buttons.

Bizarre. Tires can make goofy sounds when out of balance or worn unevenly. But shouldn’t just start out of the blue.

Got kids to bed, wife is at work, so had to go tinker on the truck.

Measure twice, cut once. 45 minutes later, voila! 6 inch serrated utility kitchen knife worked well. Pup watched for support.

Initial thoughts: thing is friggen awesome!!!
But! Unfortunately it peeled off already when trying remove the mount from the base plate. I’ve reapplied and hoping for better results on take 2. I followed directions and allowed for the 24hr cure time. Hopefully.

If you end up needing to switch, I really like my ProClip. Absolutely rock solid. Only ‘con’ is they are vehicle and phone model specific- but that’s also the reason the install is so clean and the product is so solid.

I've looked at these, and have contemplated, I just don't love the holder part. I'm thinking about a Rago or ICS w/ a ram mount. talk me out of it?
