Yeah, supposed to get an inch and a half of rain Sunday, maybe a little snow. One of my friends asked why I washed it to which I replied at least the interior will remain clean.

Just a dummy plate. Nothing there but you can install one if you have one from the grille you remove.

Installed the new Meso customs leds. Very easy install in fact for the front map lights I didn't even remove the console to install. I was able to pop out the old lenses and metal backing and just install the new lights.

I heard that those charges aren't fast chargers. Is that right?

No such thing as a fast Qi wireless charging. All are incredibly slow. Painfully slow. Waste of money, don’t recommend.

Installed rhino lined “KG” running boards. Wanted them a little more durable and rugged than plain plastic. Selected rhino lining over line-x because it’s less abrasive on the skin (kids) and the mild softness makes it a little more grippy when wet (kids). They “wrapped” the entire assemblies including brackets to prevent peeling.

Well alignment is done. When I picked it up the owner said they tried the original specs that I gave them from JBA and said the wheels were visibly toed out and the truck drove terrible and said I would chew through tires. The tech adjusted to the current specs and truck drives straight and beautiful! Toe seems high but I can’t argue with how the truck performs - guess they know what they are doing.
Here’s the original specs after installing the arms (top pic) - toe was crazy out of whack! And the final alignment numbers (bottom pic)

I like the gators. I knew I’d be cutting them for my ESP box. Easy decision over Husky or weather techs if you have to take a blade to them.

    Replaced the windshield.

Got a chip a year ago, and while driving to work a few days ago heard a *crack* and suddenly the 2” long crack was 22” or so. LOL

The good news - we just switched to T-Mobile, who paid off our AT&T contract…so I used that refund money on the windshield. :)

Damn, your insurance doesn't pay for windshield replacement, without having to pay your deductible?

That sucks. I have a large stone chip that speedy auto glass was able to fill. Apparently to replace the windshield is close to $1000 and takes half a day because they have to recalibrate sensors.

Nope. I've got Geico and while the experience wasn't at all terrible...I may look around or go back to USAA after this.

So I called Geico to get a claim started; they guided me to Safelite, as expected. Safelite said "Oh yea, for that windshield, it'll require a 'static' replacement, which means you have to drive 1.5 hours to our closest shop to replace it."

I called the shop maybe a MILE from the dealership and they said "Uh...yeah, we're a preferred shop for Geico, call them and tell them you're bringing it to us."

Called Safelite back and the lady said "Oh yeah....missed that shop."

Do they even do that "Replacement if the crack repair fails" stuff anymore? Both Geico's and USAA's website show that you pay the deductible for a new windshield.

That's about what the cost is. I dropped it off at 7:30 that morning, and they were done around 11 or so.

Has anyone noticed that the trucks compass (in the gauge cluster information display screen) a couple years ago was an arrow pointed in direction of travel, then about a year ago it went to displaying a truck in direction of travel, and yesterday I noticed it went back to a red arrow?

Am I missing something here, or are these 'over the air' updates we have no control over?

I think the windshield deductible depends which state. My daughter was driving from ATL and took a rock thrown by a semi near N Augusta. Insurance asked if it happened in GA or in SC and I asked why does it matter. They said I’d have to pay deductible if it happened in GA.

Check the build link in my signature.
I think what you’re seeing is two different modes. The arrow indicates compass direction, the truck indicates direction of travel. They are different modes/settings.

Interesting. I have State Farm and don’t pay that much for the windshield coverage. With it, I get 3 replacements a year covered by insurance. I usually go through 2 a year in CO and I think that’s average. Had the same coverage when I live in VA though.

Yup. Wife has one in her Sienna. Does not work well on my Note20 with Otterbox Defender case. When I take the case off it charges very slowly.

I have USAA and my tundra has been sitting with a crack running down the center. With USAA you have to pay a deductible for windshield replacement. Haven't had it replaced because installed 3M ceramic film on it and I just can't justify replacing the windshield and getting the film redone. So I am living with it for now.
