Sure. Makes sense. When replacing my lower control arm bushings on my '98 Taco I had to cut one of mine out as it was frozen from years of rusting. No way it could have been moved for alignment, which made me very suspicious about my last alignment at my dealership. However, the final numbers did meet spec., so maybe that side didn't need adjusting. A couple hundred dollars does seem a bit steep to replace though. Best.

well mine definitely needed adjusting lol. They showed me the numbers before they did anything after the UCA install. Just installing the JBA’s went from .20 total toe to like 1.85, from 2.4 caster to 3.9, and .2 camber to -.7. I expected the caster and camber to be different but the toe being out that far surprised me.

but the numbers I asked for were .4/.5 toe, 3.5 caster, and -.1 camber.

I know with the JBA's you want a caster in the mid-3's and keep the camber and toe to factory specs (at least that's what I recall). Are you sure your new toe numbers are OK? 1.85 sounds way high to me.

Have a picture with it installed? I have been looking at this and their organizer that goes on the back of the front seat.

The same shop did the last alignment back in August of 2020. When I drove the truck right after installing the arms I could tell right away that the toe was out. Not idea how it happened but before the UCA install truck drove perfect and the toe with the last alignment was .10 per side. Not sure how it got thrown out that far just from installing the arms but it did. Those alignment specs are what JBA recommends but factory specs don’t necessarily apply when you consider lift. Toyota specs for my truck on toe is anywhere from .2 to .55 - that’s pretty high.

And yes they brought me the sheet before they did anything to it. I was shocked that it was that far out but like I said when I drove the truck right after install it was pulling all over the place with road “ruts” so given that the number makes sense.

Something seems way off if you have to have 1.85 of toe to make everything OK, but I'm not an alignment expert so I'll stop asking questions. Best.

I agree man that’s why I was surprised when I saw it. The toe I wouldn’t have thought would have been impacted at all just changing control arms but the road manners right after installing certainly indicate toe being way out.

Installed the ME-SO ultimate dome and map lights today. I ended up being able to remove/install everything without pulling the assemblies out like their videos show. I just made sure to flip the light switch off before I started disconnecting anything electrical.

How much are you lifted? My Taco is not too high at 2.5", but I was able to get the camber and toe back close to spec with the new JBAs. Might be worth a call to JBA?

3” - the shop didn’t seem to concerned that they wouldn’t be able to get the t back in requested spec. Possible I misread and it was .85 but I did a double take when I saw it.

FWIW - There's a multi-prong test on salary vs SCA / hourly. You may want to ensure the company followed the rules or they will owe her some significant back pay.
