We'll see how they hold up. Now if these darn tires would jut wear out so I can put some 275/70/18 BFG's on. Might do some 5100's with about 1" of lift then. Don't wanna level it since I tow heavy often.

Nice!! This trail in particular actually has one long offshoot the whole way. The main road you can take at a pretty high speed. A good night run trail.

Looks good. I’m glad you posted the picture of the bed. I’ve been wondering what I could expect with the swing boxes. Still a good amount of usable light.

I’m seeing a lot of 17 inch wheels guys are putting on instead of 18. Are 17’s better? I went with Trd pro forged wheels and I just want a more beefier tire than Michelins that were on it on my 21. I have 6112 at 1.9 and stock rear for now hoping I can run a 295 or 275 70 r18

mine is 6112 at 1.9 I know the Trd pro guys have said 295 is the biggest I believe but Trd fox are two inch and 6112 are supposedly 1.9 in a place where different companies use different 32nds of an inch I’m worried that 1/10th of a inch could matter I’m running bbs Trd pro wheels stock offset I just want beefier than stock. I feel the stock tires makes our pit bull of a tundra look like a corgy. lol just kidding. 17’s in the same forged style as my pro wheels that are factory would run a lot more. There is off-road tires that have bead protection for curb rash I loved my toyos for that. I’m going more mild on this truck and it’s basically dads family truckster. Who knows though after the new wears off might go for a winch bumper. Saw the 2022 sr5 no options cloth seats and the dealer wanted 62k for it I wasn’t impressed it looked smaller than our trucks

Yeah, but so are trucks nowadays. And it’ll last the life of the truck, which I intend to have as long as I’m able to keep kayak fishing and truck camping, so it’s an investment in my love of the outdoors. Well, that’s my story and I’m sticking’ to it. Now just to convince my wife of all the other mods I want!

There is a video on their FB page that explains what it is. TBH I don't know too much about these kind of things. What I do now is that my music sounds much better and the bass roll off effect is gone.

Install was super simple as I already had their harness, I just matched with wire colors to the labeled inputs & connected a blue wire from the NTUNE6 to my amp. No need to set gains on the NTUNE6, everything came ready to go. It comes with 2 modes (1 is for 2020-2021 & 2 is for 2014-2019).

I'm sure there is similar & cheaper options out there, but the convenience of this kit was worth it to me.

Installed the rear sway to compliment the front done earlier in the week. FedEx (who was supposed to deliver Friday) arrived at halftime. Since this is the last of the warm days here in VA for some time (62 degrees on Jan 2nd, but snow forecasted for tomorrow morning), I needed to get this rear sway on and done. I backed into the garage, unpacked and got on it. Easy install (much easier than the front) and I was done by the 4th quarter. Some say it's a much stiffer ride, but I'll find out this week as I'm heading to NC on a road trip.

Bumper Shellz and pro grill from empire Offroad. Install of the shellz was a pain and let to dripping the front skid to get the mud out

    Came out good though!
Also added the “oh shit’ handle to the drivers side. Was an Xmas gift.

Two theories on that subject that have both been beat to death.

    1. They are greedy and did it to screw customers out of a few more dollars per truck.
    2. It's safety related because crash dummies hit their heads on it, and they were just trying to keep the truck from losing a star in newer and more stringent tests.

Take your pick. Doesn't matter, because the fact is that they did it. You can either add one or not, but the why is irrelevant.

    Money saving.

There are a lot of features that were "lost" from the 2.0 to 2.5 gen.

Now look at the 3rd gen, it "lost" tow hooks.

And I was saying there are multiple features that were lost, like Auto window switches, smaller over head compartment, and others I have since forgotten. Those weren't removed for safety.

Yup. They redesigned several elements both inside and outside, and probably streamlined things for ease of manufacture to offset the costs of adding things like LED lights, TSS, etc. Not saying that cost isn't a factor.
