How much higher is that rack than the sharkfin? I want one but I’m getting tight on fitting in the garage!

not sure if you got this resolved but here’s a picture of mine close up. Just need to move the left u bolt to the outside of that ABS bracket on top of the axel. Then position the right U bolt the same distance - use where the welds on the axel come to a v point for reference on where to position the right u bolt once you get the correct placement on the left.

Anyone ever notice the drivers window switch blinking? Just came back from shopping and noticed it was blinking...I don't think I've ever seen that before.

You need to recalibrate the auto window. All toyotas do this when the auto window is reset or out of whack.

Install the left bracket left of the brake line bracket as close as possible. Match the distance from center using the welds as a guide. Here is mine:

    rear: 5160’s + Icon AAL’s
measuring 25-1/2” hub to fender all around

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
    Changed the oil.
Cleaned the engine bay a bit while the oil drained and the air filter dried.
Checked the tb while I had the intake off (to clean and spray the MAF sensor). A bit dirtier than I care for. Will prolly take it off for a good cleaning tomorrow, before final reassembly of intake tube and air box.

I didn’t notice much of a tick to start with. Now I’ve got my head in the engine and all I can hear is normal valve noise. No tick.

also used a Amsoil oil filter. First time I’ve ever changed a filter this style before.

Nice set up. I like the way you mounted your control box for the winch in the engine compartment. I need to do that to mine due to the ADD bumper has very limited access to the winch box. Have you considered upgrading your battery terminals to the SDHQ ones? They are expensive but very well worth it.

Found a place that had the bedliner conditioner with help from another thread. This is the stuff that came with my truck new - works pretty well and seems to last a decent amount of time.

Ran across these on ebay and recalled another member had a DIY about that looked good so I thought I'd gave it a whirl (14-21 Toyota Tundra Headlight Eyelid GLOSS BLACK Precut Vinyl Overlays)....I think the price is good, around 18 bucks all together as lets face it I'm not going to sketch out a template and do that work :)

They do look nice on the headlights - I included a before shot where you can see all the scratchs on top of the headlight.....Im not sure if I did a great job installing as I still have little bubbles in a lot of places but hoping the sun will work them out. Regardless one of those mods you won't feel bad about if you need to rip it off in the future.

Looks great...been looking at that light bar to match my floods...how was the install? Read on the forum where the longer 42" has some problems with the brackets? Is the shorter one the same or no problem? Thanks

Thanks man. Yea…the SSO bumper had no extra space with the way the front end of these trucks are designed, so I had to relocate the control box. I wanted it on the driver side so it was easy to access.
I used a few strips of 1” steel flat bar to make a couple brackets for the control box bottom plate. Attached those to the fuse box cover. The limited amount of wt plus the clips on the fuse box cover, it’s solid. But it’s easy enough where if I need to get to the fuses I can without unbolting anything.

And yes…I know…I want (and need) some new terminals. I just never remember to order them…

I had trouble when I did mine. I had some extra strips of tape left over. Went back with a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol and wiped the area down really good and let dry. The tape stuck really well after that.

Install was fine. The brackets with the 30” are much more solid since they actually sit on the bumper supports. The brackets for the 42” are opposite and don’t have anything to rest on. Add in the larger span and the heavier 42” bar and I can see how the 42” bracket becomes shaky. But the 30” feels solid.
