PC was $520 ($130 per) and OEM center caps from the nightshade and OEM black lug nuts were $235. So $755 plus the cost of the wheels, which in this case was $250 off of marketplace. So I’m into it $1,005.

it’s just a basic gloss black powder coat.

I filled it up maybe halfway just to test it out, and I was really impressed with the water pressure! It did wane as it emptied out of course though.

you can always pump it up with a bike pump or your compressor. There is also a pump cap available but not practical for up on the roof rack.I love my 3.8 gal waterport.

Fitment was OK but the seat brackets are wider than the template allowed, but no biggie. Using some masking tape to hold the template in place when you mark the holes helps tremendously.

As to the updates, my instructions stated to “cut on the line” but the YouTube vids were “inside” the lines. Just double check your instructions, rather than relying on the vids.

Haven’t purchased any yet. Also not sure what wiring I’d tap into. Maybe the cargo light wire?

The MattGecko Lights are pretty nice and really easy to install. I wired mine to the battery so I can turn them on at any time.

As secure as the MX4. The retrax Pro is aluminum slats and it locks in the closed position. Only way into the bed is cutting thru the aluminum slats or tailgate, using a big pry bar to bent their way in, or if you leave either unlocked. Great to protect your gear, but if someone is set to steal from you, they will damage your truck to get what they want.

Edit: it locks in multiple positions but I only mentioned closed since you want to secure the bed

    A bunch
Retrax is usually more secure than a tri-fold. Some members here have had to 'break in' to their own cover here for various reason and it's kinda easy with a coat hanger and knowledge of where to pull. My retrax kept sliding forward since it only locked on one side, so left a 1/2" gap on the other side - not enough to be able to get to the lock but enough if they had a pry bar to damage the truck and get in.

If security is the main idea than Diamondback is the only way to go, like many things you get what you pay for. If you want to stop the snatch and grabs than both retrax or solid trifolds easily stop those.

Looks like those are 9" wide after a quick search, so comparing the overall specs of the two, those would have 0.89" more poke than the wheels I'm about to install.

Assuming these are the ones in question.

Yes lockable. I really need access when rack and tent are mounted. vs the tri-fold... otherwise I thought the Bakflip mx4 was great and secure
