    Added the non-skid strips from TuffSkinz. Easy to install and already covered some of the knicks on that panel.

    Added bilstein 6112 shocks at the 2.5 inch setting. I put these on to replace the factory shocks that the previous owner had spacers on. I find the ride very smooth and less body roll while cornering . I have the 5160 rears and these complement them very nicely. I bought these from wheelers off road. i also added the wheelers front and rear super bump stops.

    I made a mount for a ARB single air compressor . came out nice. I ran the wires through the rubber grommet to the right of the glove box.

    Yeah maybe I need to look into the rough country. I was planning on the diode 42 or 30 if I don’t want to deal with it shaking where I read a lot about on it.

    Drove up into the mountains. Backed into a fir tree and modified my rear drivers side bumper. It’s not terrible, but I see it.
    Gonna have to fix it…eventually

    Got back from a week long business trip today. I had just enough time to install my new flares. I bought a set of returned flares from Tygre for $150 on Amazon shipped! They were a little scratched up but I was planning on painting them or coating them. I had them coated with bed liner at a local shop for $300. I did the 3M clear film underneath. Very happy with the results. Missed the damn FedEx driver and now I have to wait for my black handles and mirror caps until tomorrow!

    I see people here in NY driving with similar setups with all of the lights on all of the time - daytime AND at night. Melts my retinas. I probably sounded like a dick…looks killer and I am glad to hear you’re not out melting people’s eyeballs.

    Awwwwww.... Thanks guys :hattip::)

    I've now gotten enough feedback on the brackets having some play in them, and have got mine installed and am not 100% pleased with it either. I brought it up to the DD engineering team, but I am in a position to not be able to force them to do anything. First prototype is done on a Hotshot version of the same bracket! :cool: I'll take care of (maybe not free though) those who are experiencing issues with their brackets when I get to production version. It seems hit or miss on those who experience some deflection of the bar.

    WHAT. IS. THIS. WITCHCRAFT.

    And why in the hell do I not have red ones!?

    Lots.
    I grew up on the Northside of Jacksonville and "the Jetties" as we called it was my favorite local surf spot. This was way before it was called Huguenot Park and when you still had big sand dunes to drive on and around (before multiple hurricanes destroyed them over the years). Back then in high school I had a '73 VW Super Beetle that I used to "run the flats" instead of a 4WD to get to the beach. We used to cruise through the sugar sand in that bug and laugh at all the rednecks from Georgia in their big pickups buried to the frame. Bag down the oversize rear tires and you were good to go all day long and cheap on gas, too.

    I used to go there in my FJ and one of my favorite things is towing people out that are stuck in the sand, especially when it is other brands, it feels like I have towed out multiple Ford Sporttracs and several "AWD" style vehicles. Fun times. :)

    Did you remove the calipers to paint, or do them while still installed?
