What about the pre-cut clear vinyl? I was thinking of doing that for rocks.

I ran down the tank until it said I had around 50 miles left. Then loosened both the straps until it gave me enough room.

Ahhh, that’s a good idea. So you left it bolted up pretty much. I definitely did not think of that. A buddy suggested using a crows foot wrench, hadn’t heard of them before today. I like your idea, as I think even getting a crows foot in there would be a giant pain.

Did you have to use some special kit to adhere it to your spray in bedliner? Mine will be here Friday and I’m hearing there’s a special BRYSPRAYON kit that has to be used to install over a spray in liner…naturally, I didn’t buy that.

Day 2……but really like day one since I didn’t get back from the dealership yesterday until 5:30ish pm so it was too late to start any mods.

Anyway, today I started with the simplest mod of all, remove the TRD Carpet Mats and replace them with the All Weather Mats. That took like 2 minutes.

Then moved on to the Doorsill Protectors, another quick mod, like 10 minutes per side.

After that was done it was time for the Brushed Stainless Steel Steps install. That took just over an hour because I was also dipping my 6 overlays with the Dark Gray. I tried out 3 colors, Black, Gunmetal and the Dark Gray. Held each one up against the truck and we decided the Dark Gray looked Best.

Wont be installing those until tomorrow or maybe even wait til Friday. I want the dip to have sufficient time to cure/harden. Then that will be another quick install……probably like 15 minutes for all 6 plus the Tailgate Zinc Alloy Letters.

Also made my appointment for the Window Tint, this Friday! After I leave that shop I’ll stop by the tire shop and see about getting some new beefier looking All Terrain tires. Still not sure which tire to go with and I did hear back from BFG on the nonavailability of KO2s in my area. They told me they should be available by the end of October. Not going to wait that long so a decision needs to be made soon on which tire.

Weather permitting and no errands to run hopefully I’ll get the TRD Dual Exhaust going. Plan on painting the pipes Black before I do the install. So we’ll see what tomorrow brings.

Today the truck drove ZERO MILES. It moved a few feet in the driveway and that was it. Although I have to say that yesterday while driving back from the dealership it felt like I was sitting on my sofa driving home……very very comfy!

And a pic with the Brushed Stainless Steel Steps installed. Also like your opinions on the Black Fender Flares. Straight out of the box. Didn’t seem to do it for me, makes the truck look like it just has these HUGE Wheel wells so I’m leaning towards Color Matched.

Let me know what you think!

I really like these. They r smooth, quiet, handle dirt, rocks and mud awesome. Haven't had them in snow yet but they r 3 peak rated..mine are P285/70/17 and I paid 227 a tire for them. The LT's were 300 a tire. They are pricey, but the warranty is awesome and you can stop at any les schwab and get your free rebalance and rotation anywhere. I asked the manager who makes the mazama tires and he said they are from sumitomo tires. These replaced Good Years that replaced cooper at3 xl's. I dont think ill go back to any big name tire after these.

When you remove the flares for paint, install PPF on the truck before you reinstall them. It will save your paint.

Get some better adhesive tape than what will be provided on those Zn tailgate letters. The sun will melt that glue easily and since those letters are heavy they will fall off. 3M branded will suit it best.

They are pretty heavy. I was surprised at the weight. I read in the instructions to warm/heat up the back (heat gun/hairdryer) and then stick them on. Just looked at the back and it does say 3M on the red tape.

Boy that would suck having a couple fall off.

Yeah I learned that the hard way. Had two fall off in the summer sun and disappear. Mine did not come with the 3M though. So maybe they had enough bad reviews and finally switched to some better adhesive. Good luck!
