Hadn’t heard of this rust treatment before, had to google it. Seems weird that they need to drill holes, but also makes some sense. I don’t have to worry about rust to much in CO since it’s dry as hell.

I concur with dealer maintenance too. Maybe it’s just my dealer, but I’ve always had a good experience with no issues. They only time they’ve even recommended any maintenance was recently when my 4Runner was in for the 100k service. It was all routine stuff: spark plugs, fluid change, battery, etc. I took it to a local shop for that stuff because it’s 1/4 the price there and it’s a reputable place I’ve used before. I usually have Discount Tire do the rotation and balance as well, they just do a much better job balancing.

Sold it. I am no longer a Tundra owner. Good news is I got $4600 MORE for it than I paid brand new.

I hardly ever drove the truck. For the last two years, it's been a second vehicle, and it sat in the driveway collecting dust most of the time. In three years, I only put 31 000kms (19 262 miles)on the truck, and that includes the first year as a daily driver. In the last two years, it's been less than 5000kms (3100 miles) a year. Making such a large truck payment on a truck that just sat there, didn't make much sense.

SO, we're going down to one vehicle. We have a Mazda3 hatch that is a great vehicle, and which I've been using as a daily. I AM sad to see the Tundra go. It was my dream truck in my dream spec, but honestly, it was just costing me too much money for what I used it for.

Yes, agree - here are the recovery hooks from my Tundra (Tractor Supply New Holland Red). I used 2-3 coats of their primer and 3 coats of the New Holland Red. The red is damn close as you mention.

I love it. Definitely not nearly as loud as the dirty deeds system on my 4runner but I didnt want the Tundra that crazy anyways. No resonator on and drone doesn't bother me.

I got a front end alignment... because I hit a storm culvert hidden in tall grass while trying to avoid someone on their phone that had come into my lane. Hit the culvert at about 35mph, took flight. All that happened was the steering was a little out in front rt toe.

It only has 800 miles on it, so the alignment felt right. Since I bring that shop all my service, they didn't even charge me.

When this happened, my bond to the truck grew. That was a legitimately major hit that would have crippled most any other civilian vehicle. I can ask for nothing more.

Awesome, I just got my BedRug yesterday and also my MX4 cover. I hope to have time to install it all tomorrow. I have a feeling the little ones are going to want to crawl all over my bed once the BedRug is put in.

That’s a big number. About $1.05 more than what we are paying in NC. I love the big tank, no matter what.

Make sure you double check your cam tabs. I just had my front end aligned from a similar but self-inflicted incident. The shop got it driving straight and everything, but I was underneath checking other stuff and saw one side of the front passenger LCA cam bolt was flattened.
    EB26AD1B-377E-48F7-8213-72197D1D4C36.jpg

You might be fine, but definitely give it a once over so you don’t slip your alignment later and then figure this out.

Finished up mounting my new cat protection plate. Had to cut additional slots at the front to work with my TRD engine skid plate, but overall not a bad design.
