How much ground clearance did you loose?

Completely agree to wait and get exactly what you want or would be stuck in that loop of “I wonder if it would’ve looked better with…”

The bumper shim is for the front of the front tire clearance whereas the bmc is for the rear of the front tire clearance…you could try to push/trim the front liner, to not have to shim the bumper. I ran 33x11.5 with no rubbing at front or rear of the wheel well on 20s w/+50 offset; had to remove mini front mud flap with 35x11.5 on same wheels; when I put my 20s with +10 offset and same 35x11.5, I rubbed significantly at the front, (removed the lower part of the liner that goes behind the front end cap and was going to modify/reinstall, but then decided to change the front bumper altogether) cleared the rear body mount without needing a bmc but had to remove the mud flaps. Running a 3/1 level on my truck for all these scenarios with stock uca

    Great Info! Thanks!

I'm planning to put a 20x9 +1mm offset, 275/65 (34" tire). Desperately hoping I can do it by just removing the front of the wheel well mud flap and pushing or trimming the front liner only. No BMC, no shimming, no different front bumper. If I can't do that, I'll go with a 33" tire. I have a 3/2 level and stock UCA.

408F7BB7-752F-4DF4-8BE9-6C7B255BB021.jpg Finished installing my Toyota aluminum running boards. Love em’ so far (had the one side on for a few days). Expensive but looks ten times better. And they sit about a inch, inch and half closer to the cab. No fugly gap anymore…

1 inch Coach Builder lift (.5 shims) going on the 9th. It going to look like a totally different truck with a few small changes.

I'm in the 20"+ wheel club. To me they look more proportional for such a big truck. My truck is a daily driver and weekend warrior. It's been in the mud deeper than the wheels on multiple occasions. I have no complaints about ride quality and the roads are sh*tty in my area. I'm running 20x9 +18 and 275/60 Wildpeak at3w. I'm considering stepping up to a 295/60 when these wear out.

About 30 or so pounds per board. Definitely heavier than the brushed stainless steel.

And yours looks great too! Thanks for helping put my mind at ease. 20" is the way to go (in my honest opinion).

Got my first oil change today @1000 miles... dipstick service writer was trying to tell me to wait until 5000 miles... I have never done that and never will... I don't know if it comes from the factory will full synthetic but this dealer only does full synthetic... That is all I have ever done since... as long as I can remember.

Drove 3,300 miles in 6 days pulling a 7,000lb trailer. I enjoy the tundra reliability over my more fuel efficient always in the shop duramax. Also gave it a good wash from all the bugs 0789E5D2-2192-4C0A-904D-85BAAEA84715.jpg

Got any close up pics of the running boards? I've been trying to decide on a set. I assume you got them from Toyota?

FYI. Yes, I think 17 is better for off-roading. 20 rims can touch the rocks in the trails.

1794TX is right. They will fit, I run this size and offset on methods with 35" Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I am 2.5" leveled with BMC. KO2's run slightly smaller than the spec vs RG, etc. You can go to my sig for pictures of how much they stick out

How do you like the hercules terra trac at2's ? , Im running the same tire except in 275/65/18 E rated, I feel Its a very under rated tire , been very happy with its performance over the past 2 years and 40.000 miles

agree more sidewall helps protect the wheel; a more concave wheel design, if planning to off-road, can help minimize that too. Mine came with replaceable rock guard rings.

I have no complaint. 95% on-road use. Reasonably quiet and smooth. Good looking too. Feel good traction when 4Hi or Lo engaged. When this worn out I would replace by the same ones. BFs are too noisy to me.
