Finally got my Katzkin seats installed... Took two days, just to break it up and give my hands a break.

Love how they turned out. Pics look more orange than it does in person.

More orange...meaning they still are orange? Definitely look orange compared to the red door jam.

It's brown (walnut), but my camera is adjusting and making it look orange. I grew up taking care of a Ferrari 308 and Maserati Bora (a guy I worked for), both red with this color leather... It stuck with me and I wanted this color in my truck.

Installed the Westcott TRD Fox front lift. I’m now 25” from center of wheel to the top of the wheel well in the front, and 25-1/4” in the back with the Coachbuilder +2 shackles.

Question about the shackles, do you have modified bump stops? If yes what? If not how does that long shackle not force the springs into a compromising position if the frame contacts the bump stop due to load or terrain? Trying to get an education on this and learn what I am missing or overthinking if anything.

On the rears, no, I do not have modified bump stops at all.
As for compromising the spring - I suppose it’s possible. I’m running off the experience of builders and fabricators like Ekstrom Design in this case, since I’m using the kit that they sell specifically for these trucks.

That said, once I get my “kit” all figured out over the next year or so, I’ll likely end up switching from the factory leafs and CB shackles to either aftermarket leafs or adding the Roadmaster Active Suspension kit.

Just curious, but I do think there is a good chance of spring negative arch. I can highly recommend Dobinson's HD leaf packs and Roadmaster HD active suspension, have both and love the results. Trying to save you all from flattened springs, unless I am missing something like a bump stop spacer. Just doesn't seem possible that a longer shackle wouldn't force the springs beyond the factory design limits.

I have the CB+2s as well, but I’d love to find something to firm it up a bit without reducing the extended travel of the Factory Pro shocks.

Perhaps in an extreme overload situation, it’s more than possible. But it’s also not a tremendous amount of difference either - the net “lift” unloaded on a CB +2 shackle is 1.25” that flattens as the geometry of the whole arch is loaded.

Trying to help a few people including myself learn something, if it's a hard lesson for any of us, I think we will still live on and get over it. Might even be thankful in the end.

Check with @cctxquicksand - he overloaded his rear end and flattened out his springs, then replaced them with Icon set. Hell…if it happens to me it’s just an easier way to get my wife to OK paying for an upgrade!

I have the CB +2 shackles and while I don’t remember what my springs looked like before they still have a positive arch. They are flatter in the front but still have decent arch in the back under no load.

But have you loaded up the truck to the bump stops a few times? That's where it becomes a problem and I cannot see how it wouldn't ruin some springs. Unless a bump stop extensions or higher bump stop is placed on the axle.

i have loaded the truck with some pretty heavy stuff, never hit the stops. It’s only raised 1.25” with the +2 shackles.

I think you’re right that longer shackles can wear leaf springs more quickly. But most shackles for our Tundras offer no more than 1.5” of lift, with the majority providing about 1” of lift. The negative arch and more premature wear is likely more prevalent with shackles that provide 2” to 3” of lift, but when they’re that long, they’re also more unstable.

With respect to extended bumpstops, I think it’s a good idea just to be on the safe side. I’ve seen a few “extended” bumpstops, but while they may be longer than stock they still compress to stock length, which makes me think they may not be any more effective than stock bumpstops, but I could be wrong about that. I’d be interested in knowing which bumpstocks work best on our Tundras whenever the rear is lifted.

Not so sure about that Texarican Tundra, assembled yes, partially. However, whole bunch of parts are from south of the border unfortunately. Very misleading marketing.
