Replaced my dash speakers with these Kenwood’s - nice improvement.
Finally found the KFC- X2C in stock but they sent me the X3C- Bonus! They are a little bigger but got them to fit in the factory mounts. Also switched out my focal tweeters with Hertz - snap right in to the sails and sound amazing.39355951-99F2-4FFE-B521-ABB056F60809.jpgB0BE937C-2A28-4C5B-AEAB-8254578ADA4E.jpg

Finally installed my Valhalla's Shield (VS) mid and mid-rear skid plates. Thanks to Tyler (@Classy63 ) for hooking me up with some billet plates. I will ad more pictures under Tyler's thread.

Yep, did today too after a quick wash and vacuum, I noticed the passenger side had more dirt UNDER the mat than in it.

Picked up a new solar panel today. The 100W panel was a bit undersized for the 200ah lithium battery bank installed in the truck. Think I went a bit too far with a 330W 24v residential panel though. I’m still gonna finish installing it :D

Right now it's just sitting up there (on top of the 100W panel) so I can see how it works compared to the other panel while I wait on the stuff I need to mount it.

Looks good! Which brand are these? I've been meaning to pick some up but have a fridge on one side and a drawer on the other so clearance has been an issue. Looks like these would work for me though.

    Lots of shenanigans.
Made this bad boy last night! Has a slight leak so gotta adjust that and need to mount it onto the truck at some point. I’ll add that and installing the total Chaos UCA to my to do list

Wow, that’s really cool! I’m interested in any write-up you might have on the install and wiring.

So how much does that 330w weigh? Can it be removed and reinstalled easily?

Please post more pics and info when you install it!

Is 1,000 standard for a break-in oil change? I only have a couple hundred, but wasn't planning on anything until around 5,000 or 6 months. This is my first new vehicle so not sure what the best route is and don't want to screw up my longevity.

Not necessary, but cheap insurance imo. I work in heavy duty so we always have tight initial services (250 hr, 500 hr, then normal). I did 1k, 5k, and will prob continue 5k depending on color. Gotta think, first 1000 miles of what's hopefully a 300k mile engine, spend the dough to clean it out early

according to Toyota (granted I’m a service advisor at a Toyota dealership) the first oil change is due at 10,000 miles.
I come from a motorcycle background and with years of racing and track riding. On new motorcycles or a freshly rebuilt race engine I change the oil after 100 miles.
For those of you that haven’t seen what oil looks like after the first change it’s nasty, there’s a lot of moving parts that wear together and settle into place.
My personal preference is to get all that shit out of there sooner than later.

They recommend 1,000 for break in, I did mine at 700 and it was pretty filthy for a new engine. Do an early change, then get on your regular schedule for changes.

Just for a reference point, this is 700 miles. Will it pass a Blackstone lab report?, probably so, but why take the chance when oil is fairly cheap, but our engines certainly aren't. Just my 2 cents of course.

I’m wondering if you should put the rear plate under the mid plate in the mounting location. Like shingles, so you slide right over obstacles and don’t get hung up.

    Nice skids though!
