Yea we saw it. No one i knew. Unfortunately, pretty common when it gets like this. One school had a teacher giving kids piggy back rides to the parents vehicles to keep everyone as dry as possible

I wish they would make something to clip along the entire silver piece on the door (right below where your arm goes)
How far is your bull bar off the ground. In this photo it looks very low.. just wondering if it is...

Never measured it, I could raise it but then I would block the TSS sensor.

Well I decided to go all out on the engine cover paint. Everything was cleaned with alcohol and wax/tar remover. Then sprayed with Bulldog adhesion promoter, then Rustoleum Cobalt Blue, the same metallic Granite as my wheels, and Professional black. Masking between coats took the longest, but got it done in a weekend. Everything got clear coated, then ordered this intake tube from Amazon.

Lack of heated seats was the only big drawback I had for the trim level I got... and now I know I can add them along with a leather upgrade. So, oh no... there goes more of my money. Sorry, I should have been more clear :D

It looks great! Quality work, unfortunately there are no competent shops in this area that I would trust to do this work. I had a shop price me the labor in upwards of $2K and that is not even including the heated seat option.

Do those have the integrated led low beams or an H11 bulb? Trying to decide between these and the Nova's.

I’m trying to find a shop in Richmond as well. I went through the Katzkin customer service to ask about local shops and they told me “we don’t have the shop names.” I call bullshit. I just want a labor quote because the guy that sells them on here is cheaper than going through Katzkin.

Most installers I believe are completely independent and don't work out of a shop, at least that's how it is here. They show up at your house, install it and leave. Keeps overhead low and prices down. I would check instagram if you have it. Lots of independent installers seem to use it to promote there services. Good luck!

Phew... you guys had me stressed for a minute. I was really surprised a 50k truck doesn’t come with heated seats as well, not that California ever really gets that cold, but it is very nice to have them. Well when it came to pulling the trigger on the cost a forum motto came to mind that I read all to often-

    “Buy once, cry once.”

you’ll be happy you did! :spending:

I didn't expect to become a headlight restoration believer but sure enough this Meguiars HD kit really impressed me. Time will tell I'm sure. I was ready to buy new headlights but had this kit in my garage from my Tacoma I never used and figured I'd give it a shot. Wish I took before pictures but again I didn't think it would work as good as it did. I had heavy yellowing oxidation on the top of my lenses and some on the face. It completely removed it from what I can tell. Definitely broke a sweat sanding but it wasn't bad, it's easy to sweat in Houston.

Thanks Casey! That did the trick. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get that 3K connector out of its socket, so I went down to the door jam conduit. Turns out it was the larger gauge pink wire, not the smaller ones. [shrug] It's working now, that's all that matters. Now I'm going to dive into your wiring diagrams to see I can track down my sound system issue.

They come with regular halogen low beams. I swapped them out for LED’s, which they actually use H7’s

Yep, I was glad that my 21' TRD OR DC came with full LED's. They are plenty bright based on my 950 mile round trip road trip this weekend.

Worth a shot! I think it's kind of inevitable, maybe a ceramic coat or something would work but still feel like on a 7 year old vehicle it was kind of expected. They stopped with glass for safety reasons during wrecks and what not.
