I just ordered those too. Did you have any trouble with the key fob not working after installing the cargo lights? I’ve read some folks who’ve had that happen with other brands.

I don't consider myself a moron, but I'll agree tinted tail lights are dangerous. Twice in the last week, I've had a couple close calls while on a busy interstate because of tinted tail lights. On a bright sunny day, they're undetectable. Folks have enough to keep track of with people switching lanes like it's NASCAR out there than to strictly focus on the vehicle in front of them because their brake lights don't work correctly.

The blacked out tail lights look great on the Sandstone paint, but I strongly believe he should do it properly with DOT approved tail lights.

Drove to Maine to pick up a player piano. Been wanting one for YEARS, and my wonderful wife, the love of my life, not only encouraged me but even FOUND the piano in question. (Did I mention I love this woman? Shoots, hunts, fishes, rides motorcycles, is an amazing cook... and she's MINE.)

Anyway, here it is loaded on the trailer (we waited for a clear day, as my enclosed trailer needs a couple of new rims).

    176476307_886486942076740_2211050567621658221_n.jpg

Here it is with the movers I hired to get it OFF the trailer and up into the house (I'm crazy, not stupid. Those things are HEAVY.)

    177538247_1137645249991784_1125137376852620718_n.jpg

Et voila! Now to get the bad key fixed and get it tuned. And start collecting rolls.

Oh, and on the way back, we passed this goofy looking monument - an old candlestick phone - in a tiny town in Maine - Bryant Pond. Turns out that it is the site of the very LAST hand-cranked magneto phone system in the entire USA, and this was commissioned to honor the couple who owned it from 1951 to 1981, when they sold it and Bryant Pond was connected to the national network. Being as I've maintained phone systems for over 30 years, I HAD to stop.

(Obligatory Tundra content: note my Tundra in the background!)

    That’s so funny!
I thought to myself... one thing I did with my tundra that I probably won’t post about.

I just picked up an upright studio piano.
It was given to us because my autistic son seemed to be a natural.
    We’ll see.
    It’s in excellent shape.

We had that roll when I lived with my parents. My brother probably still has it, come to think of it. I wasn't real impressed. Wasn't one of my favorites.

No, the first roll, if I'm lucky enough to find it, (other than the 88 note test roll, that is!) will be She Was Just A Sailor's Sweetheart. Love that song.

Or perhaps H-A-R-R-I-G-A-N. I sang that song with my grandfather, who was, yes, named Harry AND was Irish. Good thing I know the words by heart as I probably wouldn't be able to read the words with tears streaming down my face.

This is why I'm wanting black housing taillights, and not just putting a film on the OEM's. I need all the light I can because somehow an orange truck seems to be invisible to other motorists :annoyed:

New 2nd battery came in today to replace the ancient circa 2007 AGM battery I’ve been using. Best part is I had some old Bitcoin I forgot about that was valued around $180 at the time but now that Bitcoin has gone up more than 10x got me a nice 100ah Renogy lithium battery for pretty much free! Waiting on a new MPPT controller and some various electrical bits so I can clean up my install when I install the new battery this week.

That's really cool. I hope he enjoys it and it works out for him. Your post reminded me of a video that I saw over the weekend. There is this show called America's Got Talent. They had a kid on there who was about 18 or so, who was blind and autistic. He tried out, played the piano and sang. Truly amazed at the talent that he had, and he won the golden buzzer. My point is that because of parents like you, doing something like that for something that he enjoys and has a talent for, is highly credible. I wish him the best of luck!!

I did the same with my DD 8" a few months ago. System is nice but I guess I'm getting old, stock was much quieter and don't miss the rumble at all. You will sell it quickly, took me less than a day to sell mine.

I'm going to wind up doing something similar to this: https://www.tctwraps.com/product-page/reverse-light-overlays-14-17-tundra

The solution at that link is waaaayy too dark - I just want the smoke to match the lightly smoked stock headlights. But I don't want to see any full-volume chrome. I have a shop down the street that's getting me a quote to put smoked vinyl on.

On a stock engine (stock cams, heads, manifolds) the ram air effect of a snorkel does little to nothing for performance. I'd love to see the dyno numbers showing a significant increase with a snorkel. They were made to keep your air intake high and dry. Plain and simple.
