Tried to finish my "interior LED swap" today. All that was left was the vanities and footwell. Ordered these up from VLEDS and popped my hood, pulled that 7.5a fuse and got after it. Vanities went well. Have heard horror stories of shoving metal around those contacts to pop the old bulbs. IMG_5056.jpgMr. Miyagi style.
    IMG_5055.jpg
    IMG_5057.jpg
In place. Angled them "out" to not blind anyone. IMG_5059.jpg
And "on". Good lord these things are bright.
    IMG_5058.jpg
Ordered 2 bulbs from VLEDS (mistakenly thought there was one on the passenger side - oops). Well inserted each bulb and neither worked. Went back to the stock halo. And now that one isn't working.
Is there a separate fuse for the footwell? They (the dome, map, and footy) used to come on all together when I opened the door - now the footy doesn't work. Stock halo nor either LED.
I also tried switching each LED to account for polarity problems. Did I short the footy wiring? Ugh.
    Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks

And by the way. I have zero electrical inclination. No voltmeter, etc.

But I just want to make my interior LED swap known. And that I built it from start to finish.

Check the fuses on the driver side foot well kick panel. I did this on a previous vehicle and got the polarity wrong and I think I touched the two prongs together. It blew the fuse.

The best way to remove the bulbs is to use tape. You make a U shape with the tape and put it around the bulb and you just pull it right out. Strong packing tape is the best. That's how I did mine. You will be surprised how well it works. For the vanities a plastic tool works best.
PermafrostTRD, the footwell light is so small that it's hard to get the contact points perfect. I had the same problem when I did mine. I used needle nose pliers to put mine in and I finally got the contacts correct. You just need to be patient.

I can't recall the specific size for the vanity bulbs. VLEDS.com just called them vanity bulbs (after you enter year make model). I'll grab/post a pic of "the fuse" as soon as I get home. 30-40 minutes

It looks like just a bunch of wires down there. I didn't really see a fuse panel

Are the footwell lights added? I haven't even paid attention to see if there is one from the factory.

Holy crap. That's tough to get to. No wonder I didn't see it. The one your pointing to looks to also power the front seat. Front seat still operates.

Nothing major, but picked up a great condition 3 month old LLund trifold today for the back of the truck. Wanted something primarily for aesthetics and any aerodynamic assistance, and got this for .25 cents on the dollar - so got it. Doesn't lock or anything, but accomplishes my present needs.

I wasn't necessarily pointing at any specific one. Just the fuse block itself. You'll have to pop the cover off. There is a tab closer to your knee or the rear of the vehicle just pull down and the cover comes off.

That was pretty challenging. I still couldn't get that panel all the way off. Even after unscrewing the one 10mm bolt. Oh well. I'm only out $4 and the map lights are so bright they light up the footwell good enough for me.

I'm not very knowledgeable on this stuff and I'd rather not make it worse. Thanks for your help though.

No need to unscrew anything. If you reach up and put your palm on the cover reach up higher pointing towards the steering wheel with your pointer finger you'll feel a tab up at the top of the cover just pull it like opening a beer can

I was referring to the knee panel with the 10mm bolt. The one that looks like it houses the "knee srs air bag"

    *edit*
Got the fuse cover off and checked the fuses. "Beer can" analogy was the trick lol. All fuses are good. Thanks for your help!!

    Round two!

So the cornering lens came in, slapped them on, and adjusted the brackets slightly.

Man, that truck is looking just right. I don't remember you having tinted front windows earlier in the week. Were they?

Ya, they were tinted. Might have been down because it was warm. Since seeing you I've put on the cool side steps I bought from you, de-badged, and got the good deal on the bed cover and put that on today.

Next is either grill/bulge or doing something about the bumpers. I want them all black.
