Really digging this build! Nice job! Do your front bumper caps paint match the grill and hood bulge? My grill is just slightly different shade of MGM than the body and have been wondering if the caps would match the truck, the grill, or be a different shade all on their own.

These look amazing. How bright are the reverse lights?

 

Was never a fan of the stock tails, so after looking at what's out there for aftermarket, I also was not impressed by design or the chessy LED setups, Yea i'm picky lol!!! So after months of sifting through this forum, I saw a member with the HKS tails. So I took a gamble and bought a set. I'm impressed, they look great and plug and play. Quality is solid! They actually look like they could be factory which is what I wanted. A bit pricey, but i don't mind paying for a great product!!!

 

Those also look great. How are the reverse lights? Also, is that the RCI rack? Do you like it?

Thanks, the reverse lights are also LED (the lower white square) and are super bright. Love the RCI rack, solid and perfect for my RTT!

 

Reverse lights are the only non-LED light.
Plug and play with stock bulb. I switched to the VLED reverse bulbs, so they are bright to match the rest of the setup

 

Received the AJT key fob and the gear shift handle. I was expecting it to be a thick solid plastic. To my surprise, it heavy and metal.

 

Finally pulled the trigger on some wheels and got some "summer" tires

35x12.50R18 KO2s on some Black Rhino Overlands (+6mm offset). BMC and some front fender liner cutting done by Big Country Customs (BCC). If you're in the lower mainland looking for a good BMC and plate cover kit, along with other custom fab work, I highly recommend these guys!

 

Does the paint have a pretty good color match from that site? I have front bumper caps and a grille surround that needs the 1H5. Undecided if I want to paint myself or find a painter

As for paint, I can't take any credit for that. I actually bought the truck used, and the previous owner added the Pro grill with color matched suround and bulge. And the front bumper, for some reason, is actually just that unfinished black plastic, like on a base model. But the rear bumper is actually color matched. It all confuses me because it's an SR5 so I have no clue what he did lol.

I have heard that color matching can be a pretty mixed bag, so best of luck if you decide to get the caps. Probably best off giving the whole truck to a painter and having them match and spray it all.

Installed the ESP under seat storage and scored a tomahawk rock warrior shift knob for $40!!

 

Where did you score the shift knob? Sweet.

 

Nice find! I've been looking for one of those shift knobs for awhile.
