Both. Slight insulation but definitely for our protection of scrapes and scratches.

I tapped into the outlet fuse when I ran my footwell lighting. Seems to have worked well

Insulation primarily, also protection and storage in the case of ARB, which has a pocket on the side.

I was hoping to somehow modify the new ones to put the puddles in em, they don’t have that as an option...I can never leave well enough alone so I’m going to see if I can somehow pull it off...hahaha...and that’s actually not a bad idea, I may do the same...that might be the way to go with having em on a dedicated switch, there’s obviously no need for em during day...thanks for the tip!

I thought about adding puddle lights... but didn’t want to tear them open. They already look like they’ve got a lot of stuff packed in there!

Definitely interested if you find a way to run the flood light from a switch.

    Finally got my CBI mounted.
Thanks to the current world of backorders and extended manufacturing times, I’m not completely done.
Still have lights to add and haven’t made up my mind which lights to use under the Baja bar.
Adding running lights in the sensor holes.

May be different but it’s mine.
    That’s what wanted.

Added a piece of sheet metal behind the CBI cutout to make it more visible.
It’s off of an old tailgate I had to replace.

And yes, my truck is sticking it’s tongue out at you.
    Waiting on my Agency6 shackle.

Yea I’m not gonna push it, especially cause I have the custom “puddle lights” under truck that come on at same time...we’ll see what happens!
I think that may be what I actually do...I’ll know better once they get here tomorrow but thanks to our man Casey for the idea!

I just got my new switch. I intend to use this as a master power switch for the Switch Pros 9100 setup that arrived a few days ago and is pending install, so that I can have the whole system shut off when I want to. If I can't use it as I intended, then I'll find another use for it.

It's a CH4X4 switch (Cruiser Heads 4X4) I ordered mine from Amazon but you can source them from other places as well including direct from CH4X4.

Cool. I’ve ordered from them before. I was just curious because the printing (? Etching?) is very clean. But it makes sense it was them, they do great work on the custom stuff. Thanks!

I don't know how much juice the actual Switch Pro unit pulls - as long as your running the actual power through an appropriately-sized relay, you should be GTG.

Installed a riGd ultraswing with frontrunner fold down camp table to go with the Decked system. Eventually when i get a lift/wheels/tires ill put the full size spare on the ultraswing also.

Yeah, If I can just shutoff the switch panel itself, I will do so. if I need to shutoff the underhood portion, I will use a properly rated relay setup.

Only issue I've had with the CH4x4 switches is they are a darker/brighter blue than all the factory stuff. But, then, the "light blue" AOB brand ones don't quite match factory either. :notsure:

Yep, I was aware of that issue, but they seem better than the alternatives I have seen so far. Plus I dig the Teq logo.

Can you provide any details on your bike holder, did you make it custom? That could be a good product.

New Tires. Replaced the stockers back in June last year with Cooper XLTs. I think the Cooper XLTs are great tires but I got a bad batch. One had a sidewall crack and was replaced but they never would keep balance. Put 9000 miles on them, balanced 4 times and they just were not right so the last time I went in DT said they would give me full credit for them towards something else. Decided on Falken Wildpeak and just got those installed this morning. They feel better and balance seems good, time will tell. The Falkens are 6 lbs heavier per tire, which is noticeable. They seem more heavy duty and have really deep tread vs the Coopers. The Wildpeaks are Very quiet. They are also about 2-3 tenths taller, wider than the Coopers, noticeable with the eye. Lets hope they keep balance and wear well.

You can tie into the driver foot well light. At least, that's what I did and it's working well.

I did make it custom. burned out of 11GA steel and broke at 90 degree angle at the bottom.
Used it on my 27.5" bike and it worked with my 29" bike now as well. Pretty simple.
