What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Thanks so much for the feedback! So did you have any issues with the area around the gas tank? I've read that's the most difficult part of installing any brand of sliders.

 

Like the young'uns say nowadays..."that sh!t's dope!!" SO CREATIVE and detailed. One of the best mods I've seen on this forum.

 

Added a little bling...and realized the truck could use a wash.

The gas tank was no problem. I do have the smaller gas tank, but they give these nut/washer assembly that reach alongside the tank without lowering it. I just bent the rod a little to reach the spot flat to receive the bolts. Worked out great. They gave extra hardware to give you options on how to mount them. I seriously recommend these sliders.

$3 well spent, next up is some clear tubing instead of the stock black tubing. Just to watch for water trapped in the tube.

Added yellow light bar to the bulge. I saw this install on YouTube and liked the fact it went into the plastic insert piece. I used a wire kit with relay but used switch I had already installed when I needed one in the past so just installed two sure I would use it one day.

 

What video is this? Did you still have to cut the 3 support straps on the hood?

Cool, no worries. The prior video you had that we talked about was for the $90 led but it didn't reuse the plastic housing. Share the video when you can, no rush

 

Installed the DS Pillar and Grab handle. Really easy install that took 20 minutes. Parts ordered off Sparks Parts on Wednesday and they arrived today. Also came with the hardware needed. No need to run to the store.

 

I know you said you don't want to do any more of these, but you have a moneymaker there. That looks FANTASTIC!

I'm surprised that you found a shop that would paint chrome. Most won't attempt it.

 

Attempted to get my camera installed but ran out of time and a hiccup with my planned mounting setup. Will have to wrap it up another day.
