Now that you have torn it down like that once all subsequent tear downs are cake. I lost count on mine after 26. Yeah, I have torn it down that many times and more. Not a single shake, squeak, rattle, or roll after either. Hats off to the design and engineering of our dashes!

Yup! Think about how many pieces I have pulled to color match or black out... vent rings, climate rings, bezel, various dash components, behind wire dash wiring, frac, glove box lights, various switches, more lights, wiring, cup holder... I also tear down some of the larger pieces to just do a deep detail... I will be tearing it down again to do my over cab lights, yes hard wired and holes drilled! Possibly another for a wireless phone charger for the dash cradle...

Too many mods to think about... my head hurts...

I had the entune app on my phone. Once I connected it to my truck via Bluetooth it automatically came up with an option to install the update on the trucks headunit. I think I know what link you're referring to...I'll see if I can find it from a previous post.

Interesting. Not genuine Toyota but might be worth it at half the price. How hard was it to swap the center piece only? I’ve heard the clips are prone to breaking which is why most places sell the center part and surround as one piece.

Yeah, I just stumbled upon it this afternoon. I was looking to get some type of black grill, since the trail edition I ordered comes with the chrome 1794 type grille.
I was like, " ooh, what is this." Hopefully it works out. For $264 I'll chance it. I've spent much more on dumber shit in my lifetime....lol

I'm tempted to order it but not sure if the aftermarket garnish will cause TSS issues.

Looks awesome sir, that dash disassembly is no where near as bad as it looks...the red accents look great with the black surround
