Agreed. He makes really good exhaust systems. I went 10” system and love it. Smooth all the way through. Not like some of these kids where all they do is a cat and muffler delete. Loudest cars I have ever heard at 30 miles and hour!!

Not overly ground breaking work but the offset bed was killing my ocd. T-55 and a few minutes and got the bed within an 1/8" of eachother now my ocd can take a rest. Second picture you can see how much it moved.

So, after 23k miles, I figured it was time to upgrade tires. My local Goodyear dealer is running a killer sale right now and I couldn't pass it up. So while in the shop for tires I had them install the Bilstein 5100's I've had sitting around on the front. Its amazing what a little lift in the front and new tires does to the look of these trucks. I even like the look with the stock wheels now.

De-badged the truck a little while ago, and have had the tow mirrors on for a while also. I think I'm done for a bit.

Here she is stock with some window tint:
    26557.jpg

    And after some light mods:
    20200719_162017.jpg

    20200719_162009.jpg

Excuse the filth on the truck, haven't had an opportunity to tackle detailing lately.

Installed a Leer 700 that I picked up for my 2020 CM on CL ($200). The guy has a 2014 Tundra he bought used and got a job that required hauling taller things in the bed so went to a soft top roll up. I had to drive about an hour and 15 minutes but he advertised as like new. He had both keys, clamps and was like new. I could find no defects except there was white dust from his shop over all the black hardware, but easily wiped off with a rag. When I got it home I went over the hardware with a detail brush to get it clean. I vacuumed the carpet liner on the underside and it came perfectly clean. The guy just wanted it out of his shop and I was glad to help with that for $200. Every once in a while I cary tall loads, but mostly boat gear, snowmobile gear and family stuff for boating/snowmobiling. It installed easily with 4 clamps and would come off easily with a second person so I can still do the tall loads every once in a while and have a more secure topper in the mean time. I'm sure if someone wanted to get into it they could pry it open but pretty secure. Looks really nice too IMO.

I did have to remove the side rails, but believe there are clamps that accommodate the side rails. I'll dig into that this week. I'm looking into the wireless lock option also, hopefully that can be added.

Scored a Tundra leather steering wheel on eBay for $125 including shipping from a dealer who took it off a new truck to do an upgrade prior to delivery. Did the install this afternoon on my SR5. Simple job with help of YouTube video & steering wheel removal tool I borrowed from autozone loaner program.8C9B2F37-2E93-44E4-823F-69E6577FDD22.jpg97F6EB3A-F9F2-4FBF-81CB-0241DA029C28.jpg 547B8FF7-1D60-4644-8693-7AA30B864AA2.jpg

Had the dash wrapped to match the outside of the truck. Also added AJT designed chrome delete and Tuffskinz inserts.

Left the inner shifter chrome. I'm found of the chrome/red/black combination. Had the 20 limited forum six weeks and love it. I've already added the OEM tailgate lock, black and red tuff Skinz and some AVS low profile window vents. Forgot the TRD shifter.

    Process to de-chrome well underway...

    Mirror caps - done
    Grill / bulge - done

I wanted to maintain a bit of the "Limited" look be a little different. Most involved rattle-can project for me -- I am stunned with the results but learned a lot from this forum and other you-tube videos.

    Steps were:
    • Regular wash / dry
    • Scotchbrite scuffing
    • Wax and Oil remover
    • Adhesion promoter
    • Etching primer
    • Base color - matte trim black
    • SprayMax 2K matte clear

    IMG_20200716_174426.jpg IMG_20200719_193247.jpg

Still need to de-chrome the badges and the front bumper ends, but I feel good about the progress.

Oh - and hey - I'm new here!
