Technically yesterday, but installed the Diode Dynamic SS3 fogs. Huge improvement over the Morimotos I had installed before.

Yes sir it is. I honestly have no complaints about the mounts or bar, but I don’t use it very much at all. It was a little big of a pain to install without removing the bumper. If I had to do it over, I’d go behind the grille.

Good to know, I was also thinking about just centering and spacing a 30" bar behind the grille.

So not what I have done but just needing to get some advice from the fine folks on here that have experience with this. Looking to replace factory rear shocks with something a little nicer and/or looking at doing doing a +1 shackle to give me a little more lift as I have about 1/2” more Lift adjustment that I can do in the front. Currently I have about 1/4” of front rake which is fine for daily but have a little squat when towing our boat. Questions are:

    1. Will it help ride to just replace shocks and not shackles

    2. Can I replace rear shocks with the truck on the ground?

    3. Can I replace the shackles without removing the tires and just get them off the ground enough to get the weight off the leafs?

    4. Will my exhaust location cause issues? (Picture attached) about 4” or so between exhaust and pipe.

I understand that the +1’s have about .625 of lift (for CB anyway) which would allow me to have a little more rake for towing. I found a few installation videos but haven’t really seen any that answer the questions above so any guidance would be great!

Very nice! I love the painted bezel around the Head unit. I need to get mine out and just do it already. I like the black knobs as well.

Just a few things I've been doing to the tunny lately.
I've only had it a few months and I've been really focusing on mods that make the truck more functional

First off was of course the driver side grab handle. Probably the easiest mod ever aside from the shift knob and I reaaaaally recommend it.

    MVIMG_20200712_191419.jpg

Ok so this was more of an aesthetic mod but I needed to do it. I bought this truck used and there was some damage to the armrest vinyl and some gashes on the plastic tray in it. So I replaced them.
I gotta say https://hotrodupholstery.com/ did a fantastic job making this thing, I love the way it came out. Installation was easy too.

    MVIMG_20200716_165737.jpg MVIMG_20200716_165732.jpg

I also took the advice from the forum of getting rid of the chrome on the cupholder trim ring to stop that dam blinding glare. Sprayed it with the closest color I could find. The color isn't spot on but I'm really glad the glare is gone so I don't mind at all. I might remove the shifter trim ring and match the color when I get a chance.

    MVIMG_20200716_165929.jpg

EDIT: Just now received my esp underseat storage literally as I was writing this. I'll be installing this baby over the weekend. Happy modding y'all!

    Nice work!

If I may make a suggestion, do not be like me...

I had the truck 8 days and, I too, was happy and giddy to install my ESP Longbox the moment it came in! Well... I remember telling myself that, “I really should put proper lighting in here now that it is brand new and easy to tackle because knowing me... I am going to want it!”.

Fast forward to today... 11 1/2 months later... guess what I am doing in the 96 degree heat.

Yeah, I am uninstalling this beaut of a box. Yup, I couldn’t stand to not have lighting inside this box anymore! I have all LED’s in the cab interior AND it still does not light the box proper IMHO.

I will be putting in 4(maybe 6) cool white 12mm LED flush mount bolts today. I plan to hook them up to run off of the dash OEM switch that operates the dome and doors circuit and NOT the OEM switch that runs the cargo lights (bed lights and acts as a trigger wire for my relay for the puddle lights) because of other connections.

This switch will have my ESP box lighting behave like the dome/door lights: ON-DOOR-OFF.

Just sharing because I would have wanted to have stopped/warned me. :)

I’m about to go pick my truck up after getting a Linex spray on box liner.
Do I need to let it cure for awhile?

I'd ask them when you pick it up. They may have held it long enough for it to cure.

Next up door handles. Probably gonna be flat black since none of the color match choices are Barcelona Red.

When I did mine the guy said I could throw lumber and shit in it on my way home if I wanted to but no heavy things for a few days such as engine blocks, plane landing gear, other trucks. It basically cures immediately from what he was saying so after 24 hrs pretend its not there..

For those of you who have painted your tow hooks, were you able to get them off with a socket wrench (I'm having no luck but I had shoulder surgery a few months back and am hesitant to "give it my all"). Do I need a pneumatic impact wrench, 1/2" breaker bar or something a little more hard core than a socket wrench?

    Hi Long Duck Dong,

Yes, 1/2 drive socket and extra long handle ratchet. They broke free relatively easy.
    best of luck!

    This....

If you're just going to paint them, not worth risking your injured shoulders IMO.
But if you have a buddy thats willing to get them off for you, a decent size breaker bar will do.
