What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Same here, don’t really much out of increased HP but there is an increase in engine compartment sound. Makes you wonder if that is worth the $400 or not....

I know i'm late on this, but my wife has a 16 accord EXL V6 with the 6 speed auto. It's such a great car. as you said, it's surprisingly quick, nimble and still can get 41 mpg on the highway. I don't mind when the wife wants to swap cars once in a long while lol or when we want to save gas/mileage on the trundra, we take the accord. Plans are to keep it long term. Ours is white.

 

I did the K&N CAI, stalked it on Amazon until I found a “sale”, paid $280. It’s certainly changed the sound, it’s a deeper rumble IMO. As to any increase in horsepower, I can’t really verify that. It seems to feel like some small gains, but that could all be in my head. My opinion on the “worth” of the mod is that many of us spend on our truck like it’s a spoiled child, so what’s a few hundred bucks if you can afford it?

Step two, have a couple more.
Step three, open Amazon on your phone or computer.
Step four, (A few days later) pick up box from your porch, that you don’t remember ordering.
Step five, install your brand new CAI

 

I got the sound without the whole $400 cost. I bought the airbox lid cover for $125 from Cool Springs, purely just for the look. Turns out, it changes the sound too, and now sounds like my old TRD intake system on my 2011

It’s amazing how much easier it is to hit ‘Submit’ on a Friday night. I need to do that soon on some AMP steps but it’s hard to part with $1400.

 

I know that feeling...back in March I was surprised Amazon dropped the price and jumped on it.

Finally got phase 1 of the tonneau rack done thanks to the measurements from @Tun-D. Just need to put on the end caps

Finally installed my racks.. annnnd theyre not the same height. Was under the impression a ‘set of racks’ matched, stupid me for not double checking.
So now my husbands on his way to the asshole that sold them to us to get the proper height fronts because hes closer to him (if I go i’ll end up in jail for a felony).
Now have to spend another $100 to powdercoat the new pieces, two 30 mile round trips to the powder coater again, and dismantle, re-install, and line up the fronts again(of course its the cantilever side that I have to undo)
At least they’ll look cool when i’m finished I guess, so thats nice.

I installed my in-channel Ventvisors tonight. They fit great.

 

I installed the OEM Toyota electronic tailgate lock today. Toyota part number PK3B6-34. Easy-peasy install, plug-n-play, quiet, too. Also, got word my Diamondback HD cover shipped today should be here Monday or Tuesday!

 

What size/brand are those wheels and tires? They look like 20's, but I also have 20's and they look small on my truck. I'm getting ready to level and add bigger tires, and I'm hoping it fills out the wheel wells a little better. I've thought about going with 18's to have a meatier tire/look. Anyone else have options or insight on this?

 

Love the Platinum seats, the look/quality of leather is awesome, small part of the reason I went with mine!
