20 seconds? LOL! Where do you live that the little punks that smash windows for a quick ripoff are carrying tool boxes with grinders and metal wheels?

Got rid of the chrome today! A lot of sanding and a bunch of rattle cans from Napa Auto parts. Came out great! Heres a before and after pic!

One of my projects was to add the glass break sensor. It was one of the easiest mods I've done. Not saying it would have stopped the theiving bastards but it's another challenge for them.

Yeah see the post below yours. I'm not the most mechanically inclined, and this was super duper easy. Plug and play and a couple screws and zipties.

Found a BRAND NEW OEM Bed Divider for $100 on Facebook marketplace! Grabbing that today. Gonna need it to mount tools to and keep all of my equipment organized in the bed for my new part time gig!

Excited to grab that later this afternoon.

Yep! Shit happens! Decided to check all the bolts/nuts on the rack after 100 miles. Monkeyed the stud right off on this mount. :frusty:

Then placed a call to RCI with my head hung low. Dumbass!

Did my first oil change since I bough it in December. Added Fumoto valve and the aluminum oil filter housing with quick drain. After that, my swing case came in and mounted it in the bed. Perfect place to store my hitches, chain, ratchet straps and gloves.
Heading to Firestone for a road force balance at 1.
Now I’ve got a medium size brisket in the smoker for tonight and may go for a short rip on the Harley.

Thanks. It would be worth it to me. I already owe the service manager a bottle of vodka for a few favors. What's 2 bottles?

Nice and easy “peel and stick” day...

AJT Designs Steering Wheel Emblem...lots of people black it out, but I color matched...
The latest “trend”...bezel trim. Looks good on a white truck IMHO. Gloss black doesn’t bother me enough to paint it flat / matte / satin...
And finally, a little “retro” action on the fuel door, courtesy of TVD Vinyl...

Figured it had to be Cthulhu or the Kraken. The aggression in it made me lean toward Cthulhu, but I wasn't sure because it's only his head. That, and there's about a billion different interpretations of both.

Do you guys think that it would be dangerous to leave this filled with gas under my bed cover all the time? Am I playing with fire literally by leaving it under there in the hot sun all day? TIA.

I wouldn't leave it there. Way to many moving parts for static, and a cover will keep all the vapor in... Seems like a bad idea to me.

Nope, too much heat from that black metal diamondback cover.
You could leave it there empty so when you run out of gas you can walk to the gas station with it.
Seriously no, maybe in the winter when you are cutting wood and need extra fuel.

Compressor for air bags was in a tool box when I bought the truck, made a mount and moved it under the hood. Fired it up and found one of the bags is leaking, worked fine when I got the truck in Feb., oh well.IMAG0657.jpg

Tnx guys, well I got the response I was expecting so I can't act say I'm surprised. I was thinking about doing it for the times I need to bring gas with me but even then I'm not sure it's worth mounting. I was really hoping someone could explain to me how it was safe to just keep it back there all the time for those whenever you may need it times, but I can't say I was expecting someone to scientifically explain to me that I would have nothing to worry about just leaving it. Tnx guys, just wanted to be sure.

Now do I sell the rotopax or mount it for those times I know I will need.

That looks great. I find it's something about the mix of paint, black trim and chrome that throws the front end into disarray. Just taking the chrome out of the picture makes the whole front end look balanced and completely different.

Have you posted details about the install? I'm curious how that went. Seems like a simply layer of protection for $125.

That sounds like just about the perfect Saturday to me. Some truck maintenance, organization and smoked beef.
