Is the trailer harness power always on? I was gonna run my LED's to the battery and the cabin lights and use a 3 way switch, but it would save me some work if I had constant power elsewhere.

In the past few weeks, a Pendaliner, Peragon hard cover, knocked off the rivets for the console organizer and added a way better one, added Borla XS-Pro dual exhaust, Swing Case toolbox, three collapsible storage totes that fit side by side (on the tailgate is not a lid...that's the entire collapsed tote including lid), bed bar, and yesterday got 3.5" x 18" black tips welded on and added the black tundra stickers.

Going in!! Suiting up and doing a full undercoat on my crew max today. Using Dominion sure seal Rubberized undercoat. Did the same on my 2015 Tacoma and it looked new even when we traded it in. The dealership was shocked at how well it looked. I’ve used the asphalt undercoat on previous trucks but over time it becomes brittle and chips. There’s enough oil protection in the rubberized to keep anything from rusting. Will try and post pictures later once I’m out of the monkey suit. Just wish I didn’t have to do it on the ground lol

Well I got her done! 14 cans later and still might grab a few more to give it a check over once it’s fully dry but I dig it. Sorry not not a pile of shots. Once I was finished I didn’t want to touch anything until I cleaned up. Might take a few in a day or so.

Is it a spray with the tube you stick down in there to coat the inside too?

No it’s switched power on with ignition. I actually want that so I don’t accidentally leave them on.

No just rattle cans. I just run around the truck with certain parts taped off or just a piece of cardboard as a backer for when I’m spraying inside the frame. I’ve done the spray gun with wand a few times but I don’t have access to a lift anymore so it’s easier with just cans while on the ground

Finally ditched my steel wheels today. Nothing special, but a great stop gap while I figure out what direction to take with my truck! 77956168-702D-4C79-BC7E-EB7A71A83115.jpg

I just think about how often I would be getting back there when camping and stuff and not want to mess with . Maybe I'll wire in a reminder light somewhere. I might just get wire crazy.

Not a bad idea ... maybe an on LED to remind you to turn them off?

I was thinking a little red LED maybe in the cab. Something on a loop coming off the ON switch, or just in series with the LED's. It wouldnt be a big deal if they were left on overnight or something, then I could see the reminder light next time I'm in the cab. Those bed LED's can go a long time without killing the battery. I'll have to think on it. I'm sure theres a smarter way I can set that up.

Add one of these. When the tailgate opens... ground completes, lights come on.

Installed my Kenwood eXcelon DNX996XR in my 2018 1794. Couldn't get SiriusXM to work, think I plugged in the wrong antenna, so pulling it back out today to get that resolved. :)

A little late on the post but clayed, waxed, and installed aux beam led headlights and fog lights Friday. The fog lights are definitely the bigger improvement. The pictures make the beam pattern look really good but without the fog lights they wouldn’t be nearly as good. From what all I read the cup on the bulbs are are installed at the bottom like the picture shows. 752D3B25-F5A1-4F0D-B4C9-5ED7AB41556A.jpg
