They were not bad, But I listen to a lot of podcast. I went to Vegas last weekend with the fellas and man my speaker were embarrassing. I never noticed but the moment I got back I ordered new speaker all around

I knew the speakers were old, they had no bass, and rattled like crazy. I started to move wires and sound the shorts covered in electrical tape

That jerk! I feel your pain. At least they left enough wire to fix it and didn’t cut right behind the connector.

basils replied to a comment asking about price, they said $20k out the door for that setup.

also, I should not have gone onto solo motorsports site and definitely shouldn’t have clicked on their mid travel setup. I do not need that in the slightest but damn I want it

I should have know, the old head unit wires were butchered also. No oem harness, wires cut and spliced with wire nuts. But I bought an oem harness and brought it back to life

Where did you find an oem harness? I’m looking for an oem radio connector and amp connector so I can fix mine.

Thanks. I don’t think those work with mine. I have different amp and the stereo connector is different.

Today I undertook the pleasant job of replacing the spare tire lift unit. I used an angle grinder to cut off the olds nuts and used SS thru bolts and nuts with the new unit. Next up, replace the rear bumper.

Let's see how this stuff does. IMG_4587.jpg

also cleaned the throttle body and MAF. And now at the slow speeds, coming to a stop it feels like my truck is heel-toe shifting. Lol will probably disconnect the battery and let the bitch relearn shit. The throttle body was DIRTYY, while the maf was basically pristine.

Never heard of that oil. I wonder how you'll know if it "works".

whether or not my engine grenades itself or not. Lol

I've actually been putting my engine through some seafoam treatments. And I've just been keeping tabs on my engine oil clarity. Truthfully. I'll probably run this just this once to help "clean things up" and go back to my normal "high mileage"

@shifty` can I get your help on some wiring? I think you have the Alpine ILX470 right? I ended up having to cut out my connector to the amp since the previous owner fucked it all up. I'm installing the same stereo and curios how yours is wired. I have some wires from the factory side that don't correspond to the harness from Crutchfield. I'm wondering if you have the same ones on your AC and have thoughts on what I do with them?

I have 2 solid brown wires and 2 red and black wires with nothing on the other side of the connector

Y'all remember that fantastic brand of spray paint that I used. That covered like ass.? Well I just got home from work I started sanding down the plate again so I can repaint it and it's still gummy underneath the surface after 6 days of drying time and 3/4 of the first day of it being in the sun after it was painted.

But the resand is done with 400 grit and we're about to move on to a thousand.
