Chatter isn't like a vibration. It's more like a 'skipping' sensation. When you initiate your turn at 2-3mph, literally crawling, it's almost like driving on knobby tires.

The Scosche TA2158B kit arrived yesterday. It includes a metric shit ton of brackets. The fit is...wait for it.....shit. Lol. Don't waste your time or moneys. I ended up adding some tiny washers to space out the Metra ears a bit. I no longer have side gaps but the top and bottom gaps remain. I'm not fucking with it anymore. Screw it. Meh.

Got into a minor fender bender where someone in a black Tahoe hit my right rear quarter when they were partially blocking the road and I had to drive in front of them to get around. Guess she wasn’t looking in my direction and bumped me as I drove by.

Doesn’t look too bad considering I could probably buff out 90% of it so I may just let it slide even though we exchanged papers.

Once the weather clears up, I’ll take a better look how it is in the sun before I text her that I won’t be filing a claim.

Well, I need new rear shoes. Anyone go aftermarket? I'm down to 3mm on the front shoe.

The passenger side brakes were so tight I could barely spin the tire when off the ground. The driver side was a little too loose.

Pay attention when you get em. Bmf's rear shoes came packaged with the front shoes wrapped together and the rear shoes wrapped together. Had to open one of my drums to figure out why his drums wouldnt go back on.

The funnel recommendation is for that specific funnel. It fits into a special cap it comes with and holds extra coolant in it. Helps with bleeding a lot.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am certain there's a zipper on the bottom of the armrest.
Unzip, bring to sink, wash. Air dry, reinstall. No reason to fight that in the truck all twisted sideways in the seat, dribbling cleaner all over.

I thought he meant the door card armrest. That's the one I usually see all gnarlied-up on people's trucks.

I tried ordering the Napa premium shoes yesterday. Their online website was slow enought that it couldn't refresh. I gave up after about 30 minutes and bit the bullet by ordering OEM.

my local store had them in stock too. But if i ordered them online they had a 20% off discount and a required free shipping. Since my Napa is only 15 minutes away, i called them up and asked if i could simply pick them up at the store. The manager replied that the 20% off was some sort of corporate deal, and even though it would have been order through that store’s website, the brick and mortar building wasn’t part of the 20% off sale. It was confusing enough that i said forget it and bought OEM. I didn’t want to invest anymore time into their online malarkey.

Sounds like my local hardware store, it’s a national chain but independently owned stores, if you order online the local store has to fulfill it but some other company that runs the website (or something like that) gets the sale, the local store pretty much gets screwed.

The NAPAs around my area have went through some stupid amounts of turnover with employees in the last 2-3 years. I think some "restructuring" came down from corporate and heads rolled or they said fk it and quit. Every time I go in there now they all look stressed or pissed off. It's a shame because they used to be a great/knowledgeable parts store.

I flipped mine. Swapped the passenger for the driver. Not perfect solution, but easy and effective.

Installed the mini-projector LED lights in my OE spec housings (they are replacements). Pleased so far with ease of installation and light output against the garage wall compared to the 80/100 Hellas I was running. You can actually see the light beam and cutoff, despite it being full sunlight out! We’ll see how it looks tonight.

One or two out of every ten NAPA stores is a corporate owned one. I have to drive 20 miles to mine to get to it instead of the 3 or 4 in my immediate area.

I’m not sure if they would’ve honored the 20% off but I do know you don’t want to return items to a non-corporate store unless you bought it from them directly instead of online. A couple of times they haven’t given me the full 100% refund due to some BS about not being the corporate store.

I didn’t bother fighting it since it was only a few bucks difference. The fact the made excuses for it bothered me though.

Thanks. They're FN Overlander Spec Bs. Basically, they're a 17" replica of the old 16" Baja wheels from the Tacos and FJs. My only problem is that you can't get the brushed aluminum TRD center caps anymore, so I had to somewhat make my own. I had FN send an extra set of bronze caps, put the TRD stickers on myself, then clear coated them to protect the stickers from rain and the car wash. If I can ever get my hands on the OEM caps, I'll buy them, but these will work for now.
