Another LC fan, among other things :D Here's my list of shit boxes that I like to modify.

77 FJ40 I got from my dad after he restored it, mostly lunch rig but sometimes take it wheeling. Mostly stock. Also was my daily through part of college.

    upload_2024-10-18_13-52-47.png

Wife's 22 GX. Totally stock. Probably worth more than everything else combined

    upload_2024-10-18_13-58-5.png

78 Hilux, body is kind of stock. Was $300 and I swapped a turbo 2JZ and CD009.

    upload_2024-10-18_14-1-39.png

87 Mk1 Cabriolet we bought for the wife earlier this year, another $1000 lunch vehicle. Stock besides some coilovers.

    upload_2024-10-18_14-2-33.png

05 Volvo VNL I got for $9k and built a flat bed for, and my home built buggy.

And finally my workhorse supercharged Tundra that has 300k on it, plus our 19 Can Am X3 that's setup for prerunning and is street legal.

I was with a buddy that neutralized his 1997 Turbo Supra. They don't handle rocks or trees at high rates of speed.

FJ40 probably bring you more money on the market than all the others combined! Nice. Makes me look into the shed for mine, time to rebuild it!

I'd like to think so, but since it's not a straight up restoration but more a restomod I think that kills some of the value. It's still all original drivetrain and axles and frame, but there's some aluminum body parts from Aqualu sprinkled in, has a fuel cell since the stock tank was rusted out, etc. I do think it's worth more than everything besides the GX though! If it was a perfect restoration it'd no doubt eclipse the GX too.

    1973 FJ40 351W at the time. Dual ARB's, 4.88's & 38.5 TSL/SX's Go anywhere, basically. It's been rebuilt body,
13BT on the shelf waiting. Probably go 35's and Dual ARB again, but keep 4.11's. I've got all original everything else. Ya, that old 8074 did work. Thank god!!
Just not the time to do it.

    Here goes...

    SunCoupe.jpg SunCoupe motor.jpg SunCoupe Wheel Up.jpg

My 1972 Buick SunCoupe GS Stage1
    Owned since 2000
Stock appearing with exhaust manifolds and Rochester Quadrajet. Yes, It'll pull the drivers tire off the ground with street drag radials on.

    Nova SS.jpg Nova interior.jpg Nova motor.jpg

My 1965 Chevy II, Nova SS
The real deal, true SS V8 car with powerglide. Recently acquired from my neighbors will. He entrusted it to me, and I am so proud of that.
Factory 283 2bbl motor. Now has an aftermarket intake and Holley carb. I have the original iron intake and 2bbl carb to sit in the garage while I put an already acquired factory iron intake with the Rochester 4GC (4Jet) carb on it like it would have had back in the day.

    Drivers Front.jpg Passenger rear.jpg

My 1995.5 Taco, turning over to my oldest son
I owned this truck back in 2002. I moved to GA from NY in 2004. Sold this truck to my neighbor in 2006. He had probably 25+ people trying to buy this truck and he would not sell it. He passed in April, willed me his Nova. His niece got everything else, she gave the truck back to me. My son, his wife and I have spent weeks bringing this truck back from a horrid shape which my neighbor let it get to.It sat outside for years under pine and oak trees. Had a tree growing in the bedliner. It's ready for my son to drive it home next weekend.

    Thanks for looking,
    Mike

1974 Fiat 124 Spider. Absolute blast to drive around town. Fantastic errand car. I drive it every day in the summers.
    IMG_0838.jpg

2002 Lexus LS430- purchased for $3000 and put another $3000 into fixing it. Been dead reliable and unbelievably comfy. I use it as a road trip car to visit my girlfriend who lives 6 hours away. 254k hard miles and going strong.
    IMG_1167.jpg

2006 Lexus LS430- fell in love with the previous Lexus and purchased this one for my mom. Low mile California car. Meticulously maintained and spotless inside and out.
    IMG_0002.jpg

1968 Larson All-American 166 w/ 1968 Mercury 1000SS motor. Bought for $500 as a project, rebuilt transom and re-wired everything. Mercury engine is nearly 100% original and runs like a top. Gelcoat on boat is original. Does 49mph with the current prop.

Last but not least- the good ol first gen. Purchased new by my grandfather. Was abused and left to rot. I received it for my 16th birthday and have been slowly rebuilding it since. Check my rebuild thread for more.

    3 on the tree?

Dream car for me right here.

to answer the question right now though. I don't have any extras laying around except for a few peddle bikes and row your own kayaks and rafts.

Thanks for the compliment OldGuy03. Believe me, I was so honored that my neighbor entrusted her to me. The motor internals are all original at 60 years of age now. My near future plans are to pull the motor and trans to "refresh" them. No plans to bore, replace cam or anything. Just hone, ring, re-bearing and clean the heads up with fresh gaskets all the way around. Then put the factory intake and carb with the original valve covers on to have the factory setup all in tact.

That's really cool you got it in the will instead of it getting random sold after his passing.

A 1965-66 Nova SS L79 car was on my retirement bucket list. I just couldn't pull it off though. Maybe someday....

Until then I will just have to settle with a SC Coyote 5.0.

1998 Corvette with only 45k miles. Bought it off my neighbor last year, who was the original owner, for a price I couldn’t say no to :D.

No, automatic. Just a little inline 6, not very fast... Which is good, 'cuz the brakes are horrid.

Fun to cruise up the coast though.

I taught myself to drive with a 3 on the tree. Statute of limitations is up, so I can tell you I used to, ummm... "borrow" my parents '72 Ford Econoline, 302 & 3 on the tree while they were at work.

Unhooked the speedo so no miles would show, mark where the tires were, put in the same amount of gas I used... what a little shit I was.

We spent a lot of time over the years of him having the Nova doing events together. And a tremendous amount of time his last 5-6 months. He had prostate cancer come back. I had become disabled and he abused me, lol. On average, I would visit him 5-6 times a day. He would message me "cigar?" and I would go see him. We would talk about many things. I told him my plans for the car, he knew what I was going to do when I got the car. He was very content that it would be well cared for and driven as it should be.

Thanks for the recognition of the trust he had with me!
