The main reason I like white is what I learned as a youngster, hunting with my dad.
When you have spent a long day in the field and you are getting back to base in the dim light of dusk it’s very reassuring to see that truck parked up on a hill or ridge. Any other color just disappears. Anyone that’s been lost or spent an unplanned night hunkered under a juniper will understand. I don’t really care how it “looks”. I’m a survivor.
Pretty colors are nice for image conscious reasons. I’m just being practical.

Nice very informative post. I must ask though, how does that work if you live in a northern state with a lot of snow? :D

It’s kinda like schizophrenia, one main color with lots of “flavor” sprinkled it :der:

For fun, I will pretend this is a serious question.
When I have been hunting in heavy snow I don’t cover as much ground or stay afield as long, for obvious reasons. Additionally, the country is usually evergreens which actually makes a great contrast for the white truck. I have been disoriented occasionally in heavy fog conditions but only rarely.

I was looking for a used truck, white is what I found, I would have picked green if I had a choice...

I don’t actually drive a pink tundra...but I would...nothing sucks more than getting passed on the interstate by a pink Tundra with a tri-axel and a Skidsteer on the back. I did rock a Pink ford escort years ago as a work car.
