No kidding! I have a LG cell phone that is 7 years old and the screen still works! My case is a logic! I think JJtruckon might have been being sarcastic though.

I guess somethings need to be spelled out. I have never had a cell phone screen self implode.
I keep on forgetting to keep things at the “Sesame Street" level. My bad :blahblah:

Well, I know some people who can't keep a phone for more than a year so sorry for missing your sarcasm.

My wife only manages to get a year or two out of her LG phones but she leaves her phone plugged in all night every night even if it's not dead and she always has 1000 apps and processes running.

Well, if you want to go REAL old-school, what you need is one of those first mechanical reverb units, the one you'd mount on the back deck of your old '55 Fairlane and hook to a rear speaker. The one with the springs inside, where every time you hit a bump, it would go,"TWANGYANGYANGYANGyang"

Are you not supposed to leave a phone plugged in all night? Oops. I'll apologize to my 3 or 4 year old phone. :D

I’m not sure how popular this feature is but I hope Toyota keeps a front bench seat/column shift configuration.

This is the kinda thing my wife does. She has seriously over 100 safari windows open and a dozen apps left on, wifi and Bluetooth on all day even though she is using neither. She won't leave it plugged in overnight but during the daytime it is plugged in almost constantly. That tops off her having several years of text chat history and photos, hopefully thats cloud based and not slowing her phone down.

LG actually had a feature I liked, they stop accepting charge when full so that you should be able to sleep with them charging and not worry.

I've added a couple of things to my original post. I changed it from Hybrid to Plug In Hybrid. The more I read the more I think that would be the solution. Most of my driving is around town so I could be running on electricity, not $4-5.00 gas, it's not there yet but it will be. When I travel I'll have all the advantages of a Hybrid.

I also want a Double Cab 6.5 foot bed. That's what I have now and don't see a need for the crew cab. I'd also like fold down rear seat to add storage behind the seat back. Lockable under the seat or behind.

I used to think plug in hybrid was the way to go as well. I drive mostly city and within 15 miles round trip, with the occasional trips out of town. On paper plug ins look perfect for me. However, I don't like the idea of a full on electrical system on top of a full on ICE system. Seems like it could be a maintenance/cost headache long term?

My current line of thinking is a mild hybrid would do just fine until full EV makes sense, just skip the plug in step all together.

I reserve the right to change my mind again :D

    1) auto 4wd mode to go with 4hi, 4lo, and 2wd. My Silverado had this and in bad weather it was great.
    2) more comfortable seats.
    3) more payload. Tongue weights really get you when towing heavy loads.
    4) I’d like to see 3 gas drivetrain choices. Keep the 5.7, the twin turbo 3.5, and a hybrid option. Diesel would be extremely nice, but again the emissions thing.
    5) for the love of all things holy…get rid of the current type oil filter and go to a spin on.
    6) under seat storage.

Beside the obvious more power, more towing capable. I just really want some of the tec I haven’t had in my 2007. I don’t need the truck to drive for me I just need it to have freaking Bluetooth and back up cameras and such.

Fair enough. Maybe my point should have been that they're unlikely to remove features that the current gen has (we hope).

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
Maybe if I use reverse psychology on Toyota…

So listen up Toyota this is what I want on the 2022 Tundra:

1.) A fuel sipping 3.0L naturally aspirated engine. Don’t you dare offer a powerful engine making over 400hp! Definitely don’t allow people to choose some souped up twin turbo V6 with a hybrid system. Just govern the truck to 55 MPH and gear it to make do with that 145hp 3.0L I4. Tundra owners agree that simple is best! Only 4 cylinders and natural aspiration is the key to durability. Please consider using a 2 valve head as well.

2.) A really small fuel tank, maybe 10-12 gallons tops. Also make it impossible to fill quickly or to use all the fuel. We want to discourage people from traveling long distances in personally owned vehicles. Instead they should take the bus.

3.) Open differentials on all axles. People should consider walking more in inclement weather and off road driving can hurt insects.

4.) Tiny skinny tires. Time to reintroduce the 13” wheel with economy car tires. Save fuel.

5.) Let’s make sealed beam headlights great again. None of this unproven LED mumbo jumbo.

6.) No modern styling, if there’s anything Tundra owners hate it is change. Make the truck look like a Conestoga wagon.

7.) Bring back the 4 speed manual transmission. Again super simple, less parts to break.

Great idea! Toyota, if you can start with this and add a driver's side grab-handle, we're good. No need for computers and such.
