TxTundraguy8 looks like you could use some rest air bags or load distribution bars. The rear end looks like it's saving quite a bit.

Yeah it was, think it was multiple factors actually part of it being it had a leveling kit in the front and stock rear so it just made it easier to squat and ruined my ball joints, also it has the stock shocks and well they obiviously need replacing. But since that the truck is all stock now and looking at getting some new shocks to be put on shortly before my tow home.

The shocks won't affect ride height and don't carry the load. Their only purpose is to absorb road shock from bumpy roads. They may be worn out, most shocks only last about 60k anyway, but if the rest end still sags even with a WD hitch setup, then the springs are worn out. I'm going to be putting some air bags in the rear of mine very soon to help stabilize the ride and keep it level. How long is that trailer? 10,000 lbs seems heavy although mine fully loaded gets to 9700 lbs.

Well I will have to make another report back that when I tow it again because I had 2 mechanic shops tell me the biggest issue with my truck squatting was due to the level kit. As far as shocks go I'm almost triple that 60k I'm sitting at 175k bought the truck used but I can tell the shocks are worn out on them.

The trailer is 31ft with 1 slide looking into getting a 5th wheel soon just less strain on the vehicle, better pulling, and the weight is move over the axles.

Ok, gotcha. The leveling kit make it level with no load and then the rear end drops a little with the trailer on and it looks like it's sagging more than it is. Thinking about a leveling kit or a full lift but that will be the issue. Almost bought a fifth wheel instead of the one I got. Interested to see how that would tow.

Yeah the level kit maxed out the front end suspension wise so with a trailer hooked almost instantly squat it.

Honestly I would leave it alone have a buddy that has a full on lift and he just had to replace the tie rods.

Supposedly reese makes a fifth wheel sliding hitch for our trucks to be able to do that.

We have had a permanent site for the last 4 years. I think we camped 5 times this year. Just to busy in our lives right now to justify keeping it.... So pulled it out today and is now up for sale..

That's a pretty big camper! Do you plan on running a set of air suspension in the rear? Or Timbren bump stops? I'd probably do air myself for a load that big

Sliding hitch? What's the pin weight. That seemed to be the biggest limitation when I was looking at fivers.

Well pulled my bumper pull home a couple days ago and I just want to show y'all the difference the one in daylight is the truck with 2.5" level kit with 34's night time picture is the truck completely stock and hooked up the truck what a difference it makes to have the level kit off the truck.

Hopefully sometime next year upgrade to a fifth wheel!!
