I traded in my old truck for this one specifically for this trip and am not disappointed at all!

Without even reading the comment, I knew the area immediately. I miss San Diego. Lived in Point Loma for 3.5 years at the university.

What is the weight of your trailer. Seems to sit nicely without causing too much squat.

From our trip down to Blanco, TX. The truck pulls SO much nicer than the 4Runner did, and we got 12.3MPG on average for the trip while towing.

I pull a 24ft Forest River Hemisphere Hyperlight travel trailer. I have a weight distribution and sway control hitch so it pulls very nice.

Speaking of it, I need to plan my next weekend trip.

Sorry for the late reply. When I read your reply I never thought truck bed space. Now that I reread it again it's obvious what you meant. I ordered my trailer with extra ground clearance so I can go off road to small remote camping sites. For me, the maneuverability far out weighs the amount of "bed" space I'm giving up.

You're right! Don't know what I was thinking when I read his reply. It's obvious he meant truck bed space. Thanks

I couldn't resist the 40% off sale so I added a TRD rear sway bar to my truck. I haven't towed with it yet but it reduces rear body roll nicely unloaded so I sure it will be a great addition.

I got one from the 40% off sale as well. Still haven't installed it. Heard it makes a huge difference.

Just installed a TRD rear sway bar and firestone bags to my Tundra this weekend. Sway bar definitely makes a difference corning. Can't wait to hook up to my TT and see if it combined with the Firestone bags make a difference. My TT has a 7020 UVW with a GVWR of 8495 lbs. We never tow it with fresh or waste water in it just our personal items. It seemed to squat the Tundra a bit more then I liked so I added the air bags. Will make a few adjustments to the WD hitch when I get the trailer back now that it is loaded to help with the squatting.

Well, no longer towing the Winnebago with the Tundra.

Trailer will be a total loss.... not sure if the Tundra cab roof repair will result in it being totaled.

We used to tow ours with a 2008 MDX, what a difference!

Even does well on soft sand

Luckily the tree went and hit a part of the house that was unused at the time of night it happened.
I'm hoping that they do total it because I latched my eyes on an MGM TRD Pro 4x4 at the local dealer. Would be a worthy replacement. The fun is having to deal with 3 separate claims for the house, travel trailer and vehicle. :rain:

Weight distribution with anti sway. I don’t have to, I just want to keep my HIDs from going up until I get my headlight levelers installed and can counter-act the rear sag, though to be honest it barely drops when towing with straight hitch only
