I didn not... I bought it that way. This guy I purchased from is a very talented trademan and he takes on these kinds of projects for himself... and then just sells them! I'm the first to own it and use it though. So it's kinda brand new!

    Rally nice.

And love how the older ones are so much lighter...perfect for dealing with the Tundra's lacking payload.

Wife and I just bought a 2020 25' Globetrotter last November, anxious to get out in it.

First trip is a week in Cape May, NJ, first week of June.

Hey congrats! That's a sweet trailer... I looked at newer ones a while back but... couldn't pull the trigger on it! This one fell into my lap! It's pretty exciting to start planning trips. I have on in May, June, July, August already booked across New England.

But yeah... the pay load numbers where like "aww... but but.."! I have to take it to the scales... But they listed as 3050lbs dry when new. This one doesn't have porcelain fixtures or any steel tanks. Replaced with a bunch of wood and plastic tanks. No black water tank at all. Just a little portable chem-toilet in the water closet.

Around town it's getting 19MPG, on the highway getting 22MPG, and towing our 4900lb travel trailer with 1500 miles on the Tundra getting 14 MPG at 60 to 65MPH. Believe once the engine breaks in completely hoping for 15MPG towing our travel trailer.

This is my camp set up with my pop up. It shows the dormers which give us some extra room. We set up a cover for the picnic table. It was nasty weather for the next few days on and off. Not cold for the surfers in WA. Crazy waves at Pt. Wilson.

I get usually between 14 and 14.5 mpg towing. This was about a 300 mile round trip.

For those with travel trailers/toy haulers, do these weights sound reasonable for a '16 CrewMax? SxS weighs 1050# and I seriously doubt if we would add an additional 1000# in weekend gear.

    Hitch Weight:
    935 lb.
    GVWR:
    9,735 lb.
    UVW
    5,750 lb.
    CCC
    3,985 lb.

    Completely subjective question.

Look at your door jamb sticker for your payload number. Subtract the tongue weight. That's how much weight you have left on the truck for passengers, gear, mods to the truck (including wheels and tires), or any increase in tongue weight from loading up the trailer.

Tons of people ignore that rating because it is difficult to stay within the payload and go camping. Up to you if it's reasonable or not.

    That boad looks fast!
I was a shop bitch at one point in life and helped the mechanic put a brand new vmax 250 on a bass boat, then sat passenger for the manual spec’ed 3hour mechanic break in. Will never forget that :)

Hitch Weight, is that dry hitch weight?
I had a 26ft trailer with a dry hitch weight of 950lbs, loaded and with 10 gals of water, the trailer hitch was 1,200 lbs.
I towed it with a 3/4 ton Diesel with air bags.

So worry more about payload…2060 minus sticker (14#) I assume. Tongue weight dry or wet, I’m not sure, the spec comes from the manufacturer.

No tundra that new has a 2000+ pound payload that I've ever seen, especially a crewmax.

Ahh, you're right, I made a quick assumption based on a hasty google search. Owners manual tells me 1550 payload minus 14# sticker.

Check the sticker inside your driver's door. The owner's manual may not be accurate.

Took it around today to get the wdh dialed in. This is the before adjustment picture. Forgot to take an after picture, but the trailer rides level and the rear of the truck gained a couple inches from where it was in this pic.

Anyone tow a sun tracker pontoon boat on here? Have to drive to Oklahoma to pick one up soon. Want to have the right hitch setup before I get there. I typically run a 3” drop hitch for general duties. It would appear a zero drop May be needed to keep the tandem axle trailer level.

I just bought a 21ft bayliner with tandem axle and had to go with my 2in drop upside down for a rise to keep it level. Not sure about a patio boat but my boat weighs about 5k dry not sure the tongue weight.

Depends, I've seen different style trailers for pontoons and they could account for a small variation, nothing drastic though. Maybe contact the place/people with the boat and ask them to adjust the tongue so the trailer is sitting level and take a measurement from the ground up. Then you can measure your 3in drop hitch from the ground up and get an idea of what you might need, keep in mind to account for some sag.

    So that's a 3/4in rise correct?

I run a 2in drop on my truck when towing my 21ft boat (Ranger 212LS), total weight is probably around 4k lbs, going to get an accurate weight this year once I have all the gear back in it. I get about 1/2in of sag, my truck is leveled and on 285/60/R20 tires, other than that the suspension is stock TRD Sport.

I think it was close to 1" according to where I bought it. But thats not important. I put the boat at the dealership with the drop and it was too low so I flipped it before I took off it was way better. Im leveled with 275 70 18.

Why don't folks back the car onto the trailer, putting the motor over the axle? Everyone seems to have the motor ahead of the axle when there is room not to.
