Fun weekend in Prince William Forest (VA)— towed like a champ, what a great time- this was our first time camping and I think we are hooked… second pic sums it up!

I sold my much-loved 2003 Tundra because it was too small to tow our new travel trailer. The 2018 handles it nicely.

We have a GeoPro as well. Ended up rotating the jack so I could open the tail gate.

My trial run of towing to Sebring was a bust, the U-Haul car transport had several rails and lips that were too tall for my car to be able to ride on the trailer, I would have had to stack multiple 2x10 boards and have the car sitting on those to get it high enough, and I wasn't comfortable with that so I drove down with my little trailer behind the car. I will say that towing the empty car transport (2200 pounds empty according to U-Haul) I couldn't even tell it was back there!

So I'm on the lookout for a used aluminum trailer to come for sale near north FL and I'll try again.

PS tow/haul mode was a beast with only that 2200 trailer back there :)

Awesome Escape 19! Looks like it has the Hi-lift? What height does that put your ball? Awesome setup, I'm waiting for mine and wondering about springs, airbags, sway control hitches etc.. Looks like the Tundra suspension handles that no problem without too much sag

    1 or 2... I lost count
Pulled my parent's new GD Imagine 17MKE on a couple of trips now. My dad bought a 4runner then bought a trailer that was out of his comfortable capacity so now he is looking for a new truck. The trailer is just under 22 ft tongue to bumper and towed absolutely perfectly. We did not weigh the setup fully loaded, but my estimate is somewhere in the neighborhood of 5200 lbs but I need to weigh it for real in the near future. For those that are interested, the DD 8in exhausts is just a little much while towing through mountain passes in my opinion (but man does it sound good everywhere else).
    IMG_2256.jpg
    IMG_2271.jpg

The trailer has a great interior layout for cooking and eating but it is only one bed so my brother and I are in the tents.

I removed mine, never uses it except for a flag mount.
Flag is now on the rear ladder.

We use our bike rack pretty much every trip we take, so removing it is not an option for us. But it's okay, not really a big deal.
