Oh yes, that and the LED headlights.

The Wheaties quotient is excellent as well (this thing hauls rutabagas).

I’ve got really accustom to the extended range the larger tank provides. It would be hard to not have something of similar size on my next truck. At the end of the day/month/year, I get it, I’m using the same amount of fuel as someone with a 26 gallon tank, I just hate stopping. It gives me peace of mind driving in remote areas.

Having come from F150s, my item I like the most: reliability. Honorable mention: a normal functional interior that is comfortable and gets the job done. Would a 12" touch screen be nice? Heck yes, but that is just one more impressive item to break.

i read a review recently that said something along the lines of: its an old school pickup yadayadayada "a naturally aspirated V8 and an overstuffed driver seat is all you need" and quite frankly i think thats my new credo

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
    1) The price was 56 hundred less than the Ford I wanted with the option package I bought in 2016.
    2) it has the best stopping rating over the big 3 competitors.
    3) Maybe a little bias here, like the 1794 interior color.

Yep, when I fill up it says I have 500-510 miles range. If I go 500 miles I still have 9 gallons left. That effectively is a 650 mile actual range.

This became important when I visited my brother in Bend Oregon from Ukiah, California. Lots of driving in remote areas with limited access to fuel stations. I was very comfortable with the long legs of this 38 gallon tank.

The only time you have too much fuel is when you are on fire (old pilot's saying).

The lack of stations in remote areas is one thing but typically if you seem to find a gas station, it’s going to cost you more at the pump.

The engine and transmission. My previous truck was a 16 Tacoma, and while I know it's unfair to compare a V6 to a V8, the difference is immense. The torque curve and the way the power is put down is absolutely beautiful in my Tundra. And the transmission is silky smooth in comparison to the shuddering, jerky Taco. It's a pleasure to drive my Tundra.

What is the process of getting them to fit? From what I’ve seen 4-6” lift only clears 35’s. I hadn’t heard of people firing 37’s with a level!!

All in how much you're willing to trim. To clear with minimal trimming, 4-6" would be needed. Another thing is stock vs offroad bumper gives a little more room as well. The 37" thread is a good read, you should check it out. And they look awesome with 37s on to boot.

if you don't want to cut or move anything, yeah i could see having to lift at least 4", especially with wheel spacers or low offset wheels. but with high offset wheels (RWs are +50, and others in the dirty seven club say +25 works pretty well, too) 37s can fit with some "customization" of the wheel wells lol.

@KevinK has the best write-up I've seen on the subject. His build thread has a section called "CMC and 37s" or something like that. Basically it's:
    1. remove sway bar completely
    2. remove the plastic mud flaps
    3. trim about 1 1/2" off each front corner of the skid plate
    4. cut all but about 3/4" off the front plastic liner and push it as far forward as it will go
    5. cut the body mount nearly all the way back to the bolt on the front of it
    6. cut the plastic liner in the back of the wheel well up from the bottom about a foot
    7. cut or fold over the pinch weld about a foot up from the bottom of it
    8. cut the underside of the body panel on the outside of the pinch weld
These trucks look freakin awesome on 37s and minimal lift.

Towing. I love the way this 2019 Tundra tows our horse trailer. It really feels like a 3/4 ton when towing yet it is a nice comfortable ride when not. Best of both worlds.

Technically you don’t even have to lift it at all to fit 37s. Hell, you could lower it and still make them fit.

That’s probably the best summary I’ve ever seen of my way-too-long write up.

And yes, low and mean is fuckin awesome. :D

definitely reliability and exterior looks are why I'm on my 2nd Tundra. I looked at F150s and my boss has one. The backseat of the F150 is at least the same size as my CM, if not a hair bigger, and the interior and technology of the F150 are nice as well. BUT, I know my truck will start every morning without fail, the same may not be the case in the F150.

It just takes time. We’ve been working on Lisa’s truck since 2014. Luckily the used market for parts is strong. We’ve consistently been able to sell our take offs to help fund the new stuff, and have bought a decent amount of used parts also.

Ha! Thanks man! Hopefully we get to explore Ohio some this weekend. We haven’t been off road here at all since we moved. :anonymous:
And our last off road trip was Tundras to Sedona.
