    edit:

    the SR5 is kinda outlier since this technically doesnt apply to a tundra (no manual and the new ones are 6-speed auto) or the tacoma since the SR5 model only comes in a 6-speed auto also.

    actually the tacoma manual is a 6-speed.

    Regarding the SR5...

    Sport package options turning into their own trim levels is nothing new. when Oldsmobile debuted the 442, it started out as a performance package for the Cutlass. It meant 4-barrel, 4-speed manual, and dual exhaust. But it soon became its own model and was then available with an automatic.

    Call it the "transmission broiler package" on the window sticker.
