I got a coupled quoted discounts of about $7k off MSRP on allocated/ordered units in transit to dealer. Both in Texas (one Denton, one south Austin). I got both those price quotes through SmartPath.

Here's an example of one of them (it was in transit when I first inquired) - https://smartpath.toyota.com/invent...dealerCd=42262&vin=5TFWC5DBXRX053951&type=new

show's dealer price already and then when get "unlock savings", it knocks another $1500+ off the price.

Looks like the deals are back to be had right now, and across brands. On my truck it isn't an issue since I sold my Raptor for 7-8k more than the low ball dealer offers. It would have been nice to have the 7k off the wife's Timberline Explorer though.

'24 Platinum with TRD OR Package, MSRP was $71,176, $5k off so net was $66,176 plus $495 Doc Fee. No other dealer add ons.

Traded in a Genesis and finally got them to just over KBB valuation for Excellent condition, which was a couple thousand more than other dealers. This saved me big time on sales tax as here in AZ we only pay the tax on the net between purchase and trade. Happy with my deal.

I just purchased a 24 Platinum. I got 3200 off msrp. I think my trade in was a little on the low side but I may be still in covid outrageous used vehicle prices. I got 36k for a 22 OR.

Its kind of hard right now to determine good or bad trade in values.

It seems like they're bending fairly easily for 3k. There must be an incentive they're getting back. I had very little trouble getting 3200.
However I'm fairly certain the 36k I got for my 22 OR should have been more like 40 but the truck had everything i wanted

I did all the deal over email and took like 1 hours. I think u can get more off if u are good at heckling at dealership. Pre COVID era is returning.

If u can travel, Denver area has bunch of tundras that they are tying to offload.

Totally agree about the pre Covid comment which is why the 4k difference with my trade wasn't a deal killer. I'm a complete novice with valuation of used vehicles. I mainly just have in my head how much cash i want to spend the rest needs to come from the trade

Right now, I can get 3.8k off just by searching on various dealer sites since some will display the discount on there. If u go in person, that's another 1k off on top of the discounted online price.

Inventory levels are up, this is why discounts are to be had. If only they would give huge discounts on the new land cruiser.

Rising interest rates don’t only impact buyers. They also dramatically increase the inventory flooring cost for dealers. So they are VERY motivated to move anything sitting on the lot. Checking dealer websites, you can clearly see which units they want to move just based on % discount from MSRP. The pre-COVID era is returning in terms of supply, but the interest rate increase is a new variable.

Picked up my '24 Platinum yesterday at $5,800 off $69,900 MSRP. What worked for me was texting pretty much every dealer in my area, getting one of them to give me a "soft offer" OTD price on an allocated truck. I leveraged that to get my sales guy to beat their offer on an in-stock unit, and they did (by a couple hundred more).

So this isn't a Hydrid? Also with those options wouldn't it have been bundled with the TRD OR pack.

24 Platinum, 6.5 bed, HUD, power runners, AVS & rear airbags.
    MSRP 70,350
Sale price 66,950 + TTL in DC metro

I feel there’s some more wiggle room out there.

In general how many extras does Toyota throw onto a truck?

I am essentially looking for a 1 package Limited and am seeing them online with all of the options built in?

I get the allotment system but damn it makes buying a little tricky.

I think most of us just buy the truck with some packages that we don't want/need. I use that as a negotiation tactic for extra discounts. Otherwise you'd need to be patient and wait for the right one.

it depends on each usa region (GST/SET dont count). each region orders trims based on what the regional port wants which then dictates what the dealers can get. in my region (kansas city) in 2023, tundra plats that had the AQ package also mandated you have the RB option (auto running boards) and HUD. only thing we wanted was the hud but it wasnt until 2024 that you could get the hud all by itself in our region. they also broke out the auto running boards away from the AQ package (which no longer exists in 2024, it has a new option code now)

Something I learnt recently on one of the threads is that buying a low spec platinum is better compared to a loaded limited like you and I have at least from a trade in value perspective. If you don’t trade in frequently it doesn’t really matter but I’m glad you got your truck and enjoy!

    Greetings fellow Tundra enthusiasts.

2023 1794 Tundra 4x4 used with 5500 miles. Seems to have every bell and whistle besides air suspension, tow mirrors, hybrid. Got it for 63.3 total drive out.

Coming from a basic manual 2016 Subaru wrx which I kept for driving to work (2005 f-150 before that). This truck is unbelievably nice. It’s like I woke up in the future.

I have a 13 Impreza and am REALLY looking forward to the size and power- you can only cram so much stuff in the trunk and back seat...

Before I found my deal I was getting dealers to agree to 62k driveout for loaded limiteds (non hybrid/trd/6.5)…not sure exactly what the trd and 6.5 is worth but I feel like you could get 64-65 driveout….66 drive out for sure

6.5 bed mandatory for work/tools 5.5 def too small. TRD, i figure it should be fairly capable out of the without too much immediate work, except for clearance

That was quick build date started 12/14 - finished today, says in transit but shows it is waiting for train

Not trying to talk you out of what you want, just letting you know the deal I was getting on trucks without that. Was saying you could probably take the 62 number, add the cost of trd and 6.5 bed, and have an idea of what you could negotiate for.

no worries just stating why i needed them, looks like about 300 difference in my favor. not much but every little bit helps. that should cover some floor mats
