Anyone have any suggestions on where to find a similar deal in the Southeast? In the market for a similar Tundra but the places I have talked to in NC can't get close to this...

IMG_8010.png Piedmontbrian I would recommend checking another state out of the Southeast Toyota region. Southeast Toyota is similar to Texas (Gulf States region). They are know to add a lot of overpriced add ons so your negotiating starting point is higher.

Did you get 4.99 APR with this otd price? I am about to pull the trigger. Today is the last day of 4.99% for 60 months incentive from Toyota. I am looking at a loaded limited trd offroad 3" lift. They gave me $68K plus TTL in San Antonio, Tx.

Yes I did the 4.99% for 60 months. I plan to pay it off ASAP once I sell my other car and pay off the remainder.

Is it normal for the dealer to require an out of state purchase use Toyota Financial Services loan instead of cash?

Toyota did extend the financing offer when it was supposed to expire at the end of January. Who knows if they will do it again but this rate is lower than most of what I’m seeing. Wouldn’t be a bad time to buy if you ready and don’t want to potentially miss out on the deal.

Gulf States Toyota is a fucking predator man, wish they will go under. Price fixing with bloated crap, they absolutely CONTROL the Texas market.

Depends on location too. I was curious and for Tennessee it was showing 4.25% for 60 and 5.25% for 72

Thats a bit of a bummer. I read on FB that some have 48 months at 1.99% as well. Mine only shows the 60 month offer or $1,000 cash.

    2023's get 2.25%.

I got a TRD Pro, Super Rare MGM Grey with Red Interior (IMO this is the rarest one), and I paid 'MSRP' for it but still walked out the door with $86k less than I had before. After warranties, spray-in bedliners, dashcams, and other BS— you'll be spending about 5-10k more than you hoped for.

If anyone is in or around Kansas and looking for a limited it sounds like Legend is doing some great deals on them. All 5.5ft beds that I can see though.

Went to my dealership today and checkout out a platinum HV crewmax loaded. Sticker is 74k, down to $68k but could get much for my 2023 Limited HV crewmax with 22k miles. They came in at 49k. I wanted to buy.. but did pull the trigger, $#s did work for me.

Not sure how common it is, but the reasoning is that since they won’t get any of your service work, they want to make up that potential profit through your financing.

I don't think they can force you to finance a purchase that you would rather make in cash...this is America after all

They can’t force you, but they can absolutely refuse to sell it to you. There’s no law forcing them to accept cash. While not many will outright refuse, they really don’t like cash purchases.
Contrary to popular belief, paying cash will almost never get you a better deal. Dealerships make a good bit of their money off of financing and cash purchases don’t benefit them at all. They’re not the ones loaning you the money, so whether it’s from you or the bank, they’re going to get paid in full pretty much immediately.
They get profit from financing either through a straight commission from the bank, or a cut of the points. Say the bank tells them they’ll do the loan at 3%. They then tell you the rate is 5%, and the dealership gets the difference. If you don’t finance, they don’t get that profit.
Not sure how the arrangement between the dealership and Toyota Financial works, but the dealer does benefit from it in some way. When I’ve brought my own financing from an outside bank, the dealerships have always fought to either match or beat it. There’s no reason for them to do that unless they make money from it.

The way around this is to accept the financing, then just pay the loan off immediately. Absolutely no reason to walk away from a deal because they won’t accept cash. If you pay it off before 90 days or up, the dealership won’t even get a cut on it.

So, I looked at my local dealer and they are still charging close to MSRP for 24 Tundra hybrid limiteds with TRD packages. The regular non TRD Limited Hybrids are 4 plus K off, the MSRP is up almost 5-6k from when I bought mine in early 23. So, I am wondering if the discounts are just on regular hybrids, caps and plats.

They can't force you to finance. But they can modify the price upwards to recoup lost financing kickback. If you don't like it you are free to buy elsewhere

    That is the American way.

Lunar Rock with Red Interior, rare one year only. I paid about $67k plus taxes new in August 2022.

Obviously some of the deals on 22s and 23s were as good or better than 24s with discounts. As they raised the msrp and now give discounts some are not offsetting the increase in msrp.

    Bidenomics 101.

Terra 2024 TRD Pro MSRP 74,6xx. Marked down to $70,168 minus $500 military. 75k OTD TTL. Had them disable the synthetic engine noise & change ambient temp. Seatbelt chime was a no-go but, carista on the way.
