I am replacing the dash instrument lighting and I am not sure which light(s) should come on prior to starting the vehicle. I took my Tundra in for a smog and the smog tech said all of the warning lights should turn on when key is in on position. Can anyone shoot me a photo because mine are not all coming on and I know this can be an issue with LEDs not being turned the right way.

    Battery, ABS, Check engine, AT/Temp.

Do not replace your Battery light with an LED, the battery light is a resistor needed to make the charging system work.

Thank for your response. I did put an LED in the battery slot and just removed it. I am not getting the ABS or AT Temp light. Any suggestions?

Have you attempted to put the LED 180 from the way you initially put it in ?
    LEDS are polarity sensitive !

Yes I should have mentioned that I tried that and it still did not work. I don’t actually think there is anything wrong with the ABS other than the sensor not lighting up. Maybe I am wrong.

Did you confirm that those LEDs work? If they’re cheap LEDs (eBay/China brand) many are often bad from new.

I even threw in the old lights that worked and the ABS still did not light up.

Well, the ABS only lights up for a few seconds after you turn the key to ON, and then goes out even without starting the engine.

Its odd that your light won't work, even if you pull the ABS fuses you still get the light.

I'll also add to what @Aerindel added....on my 2004, the second I turn the key to IGN ON, all the below lights are lit.....after 3 beeps?, the ABS goes out and after 5 beeps?, the AIR BAG goes out. The SEAT BELT simply continues flashing and BATT, A/T OIL TEMP, CHECK ENG stay on steady !

Ok thanks to everyone who helped out on this. Sounds like I have to figure out why a couple of the lights are not functioning properly.
